Through-out life, people will try to take your heart and want to hurt you. Rip at you. Laugh at you. Being tender-hearted in this generation doesn't seem to suffice, but smiling and loving is what you do. Everyone can do it.
Emotions on your sleeve aren't always good, but showing someone you love them daily is so good.
A couple a days ago this boy was re-telling a story of how he had stolen crackers from a young freshmen. He thought it hilarious when the boy started to get frustrated and so he kept egging him on, merely for rude entertainment. Eventually the young boy exploded which was what this Junior had wanted. I was outside of the conversation but I stopped him in mid-tale and asked him, "Why would you do that? Is it really humorous to make someone explode into rage and possibly ruin their day?" This young man simply blinked and didn't respond. He replied with a simple "I...I...don't know why I did it. I felt rotten afterwards. I should apologize."
Whether or not he was being facetious when he stated that, I smiled and said the option was laid on his shoulders. Later that day, I saw him confronting the freshmen in a sincere attitude. In a cheesy, cute, cliche fashion, they shook hands and parted ways.
Everyone has a beautiful heart, whether they choose to show it or not, they do.
(hey, I like you!)
