I continue to be moved by dance. I have been watching, almost religiously, So You Think You Can Dance. They have a) some of the most talented, brilliant choreographers EVER and b) some of the most passionate, beautiful dancers EVER. There have been several times, sitting and watching on the tiny tv in the living room, where I just get lost in the movement and the emotion. It feels so good, but I always end up feeling sad when it's done. Partially because it's done and I want to just continue breathing with the performance and partially because I wish it was me. I wish that I had been more committed to dancing and stuck with it and pursued it. I still dance, just no where near the level that these performers dance.
When I go back to my regular work schedule next week and have time to have a life again, I think I'm going to start putting dance back into my regular work-out routine. Start tapping on a regular basis for starters. Maybe some jazz or just basic technique.
