☭; Loves / cares about / trusts
☭; Likes / cares about, but doesn't fully trust.
☭; neutral / used for favors / pleasant conversation possible/ unsorted
☭; Country Related Favoritism (AH! Motherland!)
☭; Hates but loves to toy with!
☭; Actively dislikes
☭; KOLKOLKOL
☭; Death
They say All Russians are a Little bit in love with Death. This is absolutely true with him. She's merciful and just, and comes for everyone. And sometimes, Ivan really, really appreciates that. She's the only member of this community who Ivan will trust implicitly. And that really says it all.
☭; Minato Arisato
Minato's the best friend he's made in the community, by far. The fact that after all this time, he still doesn't trust him is a testament to Ivan's many, many issues more than anything else. He's still trying to work out Minato's angles. He's convinced there has to be a deeper motive to explain why Minato is kind to him, in this way. More than that, he's further convinced that even if he did begin to trust him, that it wouldn't last and Minato would leave. More than anything, he doesn't want this to happen. He still doesn't understand this, at all, so he continues to offer to do miscellaneous favors for him in exchange. Ivan's convinced you can't get something for nothing, and that extends most extremely to friendships. It is worth repeating that Ivan does genuinely like to talk to him. But the fact that even here he can't let go of his distrust speaks volumes.
☭; Kaworu Nagisa
Ivan likes to talk about his music with Kaworu more than anyone else in the community. There seems to be a sort of shared bond over it, even if Kaworu isn't Russian and doesn't feel exactly the same way he does. And, in general, Russia is quite willing to spy for him and on him, although so far success has been mixed. He's still fairly convinced Kaworu will smite him at some point, even after he's been told point blank that wouldn't happen. He just has to let down his guard, do one more thing to Germany, and whoops, there goes the country. More than that, the age old distrust issues are back and in full swing, and they aren't going to leave any time soon.
☭; Yuna
Ivan likes teaching Yuna Russian, but more than that, he likes that she always listens to what he has to say. He doesn't think she understands what he's talking about half the time, about his friends and belonging to him, but he's not one to care so long as it gets done. He thinks she's lying to him about all of the above, and isn't as loyal as she appears to be. But so long as she continues to notice him and do as he says, there won't be any problems on the horizon. Well. Almost. He still doesn't think she's telling the truth, but, well, that's a common theme here.
☭; Austria
For an Ally of the Axis? Russia actively likes talking to Austria. It's nice to talk culture with him, he's clearly having doubts about invading him, and he's a pleasant sort. Pity he'll have to be destroyed. But he promises that he won't crush Vienna utterly, and he means that. It'd be a shame to lose it. That, and Russia feels like if he plays his cards right, he can get Austria to turn his back on Germany. Anything is possible.
☭; The Doctor (Ten)
It's complicated. On the one hand, he likes talking to the time traveler about his accomplishments, but on the other hand, he hates talking to him about the past. He's on edge around him, more than it shows. Sooner or later, the revolution will be thrown back at him, and Ivan wouldn't stand for it at all. That being said, his little guessing game with him is quite fun while it lasts.
☭; Allelujah Haptism
Similar to The Doctor, Ivan generally likes speaking with him, but anything beyond that is utterly nonexistent. Really, it's as if Allelujah isn't being actively noticed beyond the conversation he's in. Ivan's still trying to find the right levers to pull in order to get what he wants, and until that happens, Allelujah is neutral ground. Neither actively liked nor actively disliked, just someone vaguely pleasant to talk to on occasion.
☭; Asuka Langley Soryuu
He tries to get along with her for the sake of the apartment. Whether he's having success or not, he doesn't know. But he does like to talk about the war with her on occasion, as well as the usual music related enthusiasm.
☭; Pavel Chekov
Ivan loves when his people are proud of him. So, naturally, he's very much glad to be around Mr. Chekov. It can be a little disconcerting, and he's beginning to wonder if he's been to the same Russia he is, but any publicity is good publicity. It's also very nice to know that someone thinks he invented everything, because it leads to the best arguments with Korea money can't buy. Basically? Patriotism is a big, big plus with him, so Chekov's always going to be in Ivan's good books.
☭; Linka
Pretty much the same that goes for Chekov goes for Linka. As a general rule, if nothing else.
☭; America
You could write a book on how much he hates America. You could write an equally long book about how fun it is to toy with the little hero. Ivan sees through that act in half a minute. He's no more a hero than Russia is, when you get right down to it. Throw in a spy industry the likes of which has never been seen? And Ivan's starting to get to know America's levers. He's positive, more than anything else, that America needs him more than he wants to destroy him. He could, if he really wanted to. And it goes on like this, toying with his heroism and pushing his buttons, because he's just so much fun to rile up.
☭; England
He's absolutely not a fan of him. He hates how England always gets in the way of his idea of fun. He's also becoming slightly easier to talk to, thanks in part to Germany bombing the hell out of them. What was that they said? The enemy of my enemy is my friend? That pretty much sums it up for him, right now. He's equally fun to shock and annoy, and more than anything, Ivan wants to see him drop that ridiculous grumpy mask he always wears.
☭; Poland
Oh. God. Gag me with a spoon. He likes partitioning you, Poland, and he also likes crushing you into tiny little bits. Really, don't we all know how this one goes? The lead pipe of communism swings both ways.
☭; Lithuania
He hates you for leaving him, Lithuania, because that means he can't toy with you the same way he used to. He also still very, very bitter about being told that everyone's going to leave with him.
☭; Maraich
For a so called nice person? Maraich hits every single button that pisses Ivan off. He never stops asking questions when it's hinted to be a bad idea. He continually claims Ivan's being difficult, too. And yes, he is being difficult, but that's besides the point. There's something about the tone of his responses and replies that makes Russia think Maraich is being particularly insincere, and if not, then just wasting his time. There's something dismissively callous about him, and the fact that he continues to think he can talk to both Germany and Russia? Yeah, that's not flying with him.
☭; V
You're doing it wrong, V. And when Russia thinks you're doing it wrong, well, maybe it'd be a good idea to take his word for it. He's absolutely convinced that all his little revolution will do is get a whole bunch of innocent people killed. He reminds Ivan of Lenin, and in all the wrong ways.
☭; Germany
He wants you to die in a fire, Germany. He also wants to utterly utterly crush him into tiny little pieces. And if he wins? That's exactly what he plans to do.
