Besides the insane heat, not much.

Oh, great, this is a thing now? I thought it was just getting hot.

Wonder what it's gearing up for this time, cause I bet it ain't nothing nice like a trip to the beach. When's it ever been anything nice? It does the dinosaur thing again and I'm gonna punch something.

That and the air-conditioners haven't really been working well.

You know, that's definitely one thing I'm really missing. [Sigh.] What I'd give to go to the beach again. Especially in this heat.

Definitely sounds like a thing... and damn, you and me both. The lake just ain't the same. I guess there's a water park, but that ain't really the same either, is it?

[Not that it'd stop him going, mind - it's just not the same.]

The park's too noisy sometimes. Especially if you just want to lie and relax in the sand.

Yeah... and it ain't the same to go swim there. I mean, it's not bad, it's just not the same. Like... like getting stuck with chicken when you wanted beef and it ain't like chicken's bad, you just didn't really want it.

Exactly! Or if there's really cute top on sale and they don't have it in the color you want.

[Never thought of that one. Ken gets that, though. He smiles back, nodding.]

So it's like you can settle or just not do it at all and they both kinda suck. Wish I knew who did all this full-moon stuff so I could ask 'em if they could do us a favor for once.

Yeah. I might just go to the either one time when it gets too hot again. [A sigh. She's sort of resigned to that.]

Maybe you should just ask aloud. Maybe they'll hear you.

True. Sure beats the Hell outta just sitting here and getting grumpy, even if it ain't as good as the beach.

... you know, if I thought leaning out the window and yelling'd work, I'd give it a shot. But I figure I'm more likely just to get weird looks. There really oughta be some way to put requests in.

[She doubts that would work too but at least that was an idea.]

You could try it if you really wanted to. For all you know, the Overlord could be walking down the street when you shout it out loud. Just maybe she'll take it under advisement.

Maybe a poster campaign'd work better? You know. Make loads of posters about it and stick them up everywhere. They couldn't miss that.

I think that would only work if people actually stopped and read those.

I figure if we put them everywhere they'd get so annoyed with seeing them everywhere they'd do it just to shut us up about it.
