The longer answer is that I actually relocated all the characters to a brand-spanking new neighborhood (there were some glitches in the last one and I wanted to start fresh with some mods that are supposed to affect how genetics are passed down), so not all characters carried over. :p
I am spawning a handful of new ones though with the above-mentioned genetic mods that SHOULD guarantee more resemblance to parents than the generic 'heart shape' after 2 or 3 generations that I had noticed in my older lineage (alas, that means no original Kakashi either -- though I have him archived in case I get super nostalgic).
There's lots of custom content for S3 now but I don't knwo -- the sims still look ugly to me. I'm not that interested in 'more realistic body types'. I like my unrealistic anime and barbie figures just fine, thank you very much. I also really dislike the 'feature' in S3 where lots you don't play still carry on randomly whenever you're in the game. I have read that some families not just move away on their own because of this 'feature', but even DIE. I don't want that. I want to have control! *cackles like an evil mad scientist*
