One day, a beautiful stranger arrives in town, her eyes gazing over the distance, searching for someone.
'Selene...'
Sasuke: '... Rasler?'
Sasuke: 'What do you think you're doing here? Think you could just take a quick peek at my daughter and then disappear again? Did you even plan to ring the doorbell to say hello?'
'It's nice to see you too, Sasuke. The thought did cross my mind to come back at night to peek at you in your bedroom. And for the record, she's OUR daughter.'
Sasuke: 'Then I think you better get your butt inside and meet her properly, Rasler.'
Selene's nanny Muu instantly sniffs the newcomer to determine whether or not she is a non-threat to her charge.
Rasler: 'Hey there, princess. Aren't you a pretty sight?'
Rasler: 'Mommy's missed you so SO much!'
Despite the nagging voice in her head telling her she needs to leave before it becomes impossible to let go, Rasler spends the whole afternoon playing with Selene.
As the sun begins to set though, the voice in her head becomes undeniable and she starts to take her leave.
Rasler: 'Selene is sweet and playful and... perfect. Just like an Uchiha princess should be.'
Sasuke: 'She's also looking more and more like her mother every day.'
Rasler: 'Sasuke, I...'
Sasuke: 'Stay here for the night.'
Rasler:'You know I can't.'
Sasuke: 'I know. I don't care.'
Rasler: 'Some things just never change. Think you can still top me?'
Sasuke: 'Always.'

[cue FLASHBACK mode]

After the death of Itachi but before Sasuke's return to the village with Selene, Sasuke had been part of a special ops unit abroad. His partner in arms was a smart and sexy weapon's specialist simply named Rasler.
Their skill and chemistry together was unmatched. Everyone expected something to happen between the two with all the sparks flying between them. But as months of training and missions together came and went, many were disappointed to see NOTHING come of it.
Then again, perhaps they were just THAT good at being ninjas.
One day, Rasler failed to report back from what was supposed to be a single-op reconnaissance mission. The generals assumed nothing of it as it was not uncommon for field agents to be delayed in their transmissions by up to 48 hours, but Sasuke knew.
Rasler NEVER failed to make her reports on time.
Without authorization, clearance, nor the backing of any military support -- Sasuke went after Rasler.
Sasuke: 'Tell me where you keep the prisoners and I won't horribly deform you for the rest of your life.'
Sasuke: 'Rasler?'
Sasuke: 'RASLER! I'm getting you out!'
Rasler: 'Leave me alone! You're not real! Just another shadow clone they've sent to trick me!'
Sasuke: 'GET UP! Dammit, do I feel like a clone to you!?'
Sasuke: 'It's me. It's really me.'
Sasuke: 'Rasler...'
Rasler: *cries* 'Take me away, Sasuke! Please! Now!'
After several kilometres, Sasuke stops in a small clearing and helps Rasler to her feet.
Sasuke: 'We'll be safe here.'
Sasuke: 'What did they do to you?'
Rasler: 'I'm tired, Sasuke. Can you help me lie down?'
Sasuke watches her as she sleeps. The gentle rhythm of her breathing completely contrasting the bruises on her face. Anger slowly welling up inside of him.
Sasuke: '...'
Rasler: 'I need to clean up. Is there water somewhere?'
Rasler: 'Sasuke?'
Sasuke: 'Yes?'
Rasler: 'Join me, please?'
Sasuke: 'Hey, what's going on? Talk to me.'
Rasler: 'I just want to feel close to you.'
Rasler: 'I love you.'

[The next morning]
Sasuke: 'I'm going to hunt down and kill every single bastard who did this to you!'
Soldier: 'Are we certain he'll come, sir?'
???: 'He'll come. She will bear him a child, and then that Uchiha will go to hell and back for her. Our ultimate weapon.'
Sasuke: 'Hey, its okay! You just had a bad dream.'
Rasler: 'No... I didn't.'

I know, I know. This is totally far off canon (HET!OMG) as you can possibly get but... ha! There! Finally her origins revealed while filling in the gap in my Sasuke II's timeline with pretty pics and a partially angsty (WTF) story to go with it! Looking at it now, there's no denying I was pulling a big BSG arc here for inspiration. Then again, what better source is out there now that could beat that kind of quality, painfully angsty storytelling?
