WTB [Wii]?

Because everyone's been clamouring about how their Wii's are so awesome, I've been trying to find one with no success at all. I've decided that if WoW has taught me anything, it's how to farm. However, farming in WoW will pay off even if you don't get what you're looking for (xp, gold, other items, ect.). Farming in the real world only makes you poor (wasted time, gas money, sleep, etc.). In the end you have to decide how much you're actually willing to spend to get something.

Another thing WoW taught me is that when in doubt, check the auction house. In this case, eBay. I did find several good deals. I'd probably be willing to pay $300 for a Wii now, and I did see a couple going for that price, but I'm not willing to pay $50 shipping to get it to me now. I also found people trying to charge $80 for remotes and nunchucks and claiming that they're sold out "everywhere" when I can go to Walmart and buy as many as my credit card will let me.

A third thing that WoW has taught me is that sometimes you just get lucky. This brings me to the one thing that REALLY has vexed me about this process. There are stores that put out empty display boxes on their shelves with no notice that they are out of stock. Imagine for a moment my glee at seeing four Wii's sitting unattended on a store shelf only to be replaced with horror and rage when it's revealed that they're completely empty, and those empty husks are the closest thing to a Wii that the store will have for weeks. If you don't have an item, don't advertise that you do.

There's a couple places I'm going to call, but I'm not going to go driving around anymore to look for a Wii. I'll probably be able to get one by January.

Edit: My mom just called and Walmart has Wii's, but they're not releasing them just yet. She got put on a reserve list and is first on the list. I should be getting mine either later this week or early next week. *squee*
