It's pouring again! ;~;
48 hours of non-stop rain (and it still hasn't stopped in Kandy). Cherry and I were supposed to leave for Colombo at 4.30 this morning, but decided to wait it out until the rain subsided. But uh, with no electricity and no indication that the flooding will cease even at 8am, we decided to just leave before we got stranded.
I made it halfway to Cherry's lane before realizing I'd worn my t-shirt inside out >.> so had to run back and do it right~
Apparently there have been more landslides, and so far six residences have collapsed and rescue teams are still looking for the residents D: Incessant rainfall is hampering their progress and it doesn't really help that trees keep falling on electricity lines and blocking out electricity to the entire district. Not to mention blocking roads and creating mini-dams that just makes everything so much worse.
It's freezing cold here and I might sleep with the windows open tonight~ :D
Till then, back to making notes and preparing for this week's work load....
