No $$$ wtf ;_;

Well today sucked DX I went to the bank to deposit my salary, and it was a check so I had to get it signed by some person, and they said they couldn't sign it for me because the name didn't match ;_; Stupid school, why didn't you type out my entire name in the same big block letters you used to type out my first and last ones???? BUDDHINI PIYUMIKA KUMARI JAYASUNDERA Yeah yeah yeah, that's my name, all 33 letters of it. You know what, I hate my name so much, it takes forever to spell it out on checks and immigration forms, and I remember shortening it to Buddhini P K Jayasundera on my university application to OSU. When I got to America and they started processing my new student account they were like... "This isn't the name on your passport..." And I said "Yes, I know. Those are my initials." Then the lady put down her glasses - for dramatic effect, like in those CSI shows - and said "Well, honey, you have to fill out your name exactly the way it's spelled in your passport. Those are the rules." So I pointed out the number of allocated squares in the application form and replied: "Well, Ma'am. The name section provides me with only 28 boxes. My full name has 33.." 8D Of course they made exceptions, and I got to fill out a special form... made especially for students with ridiculously unpronounceable names.

Anyway, point is, I still have to go back to the school and get them to change my name on the check. Dumbasses. Now I've gotta go at 9.00am tomorrow. Bummer.

Ugh and I found out they deduct 2 whole rupees just for withdrawing money from the ATM?! WTF is up with that?! Usually you get charged a service fee if you withdraw from another bank's ATM, but this is People's Bank wtf idek. Not like 2 rupees is a big deal, but for poor people like us in this poor little country, 2 rupees is like... well half your bus fare sometimes DX LOL I just converted 2 Sri Lankan rupees to US dollars and this is what I got: 2 LKR = 0.0178063 USD Bahahaha oh so cheappppp my poor country ;_;

Anyway. Good news 8D Our massive family is going on a three day trip to the hill country to see the waterfalls and revel in the luxury of an old British bungalow built on top of one of the tea plantations. Mmmm Badulla. I'll try and get as many pictures as possible, it's a pretty awesome place. There's also this spot called World's End. We'll be going to see that too~ Apparently it's the border between Badulla, Nuwaraeliya, and Ratnapura (three cities, people XD) and it's just a steep drop... and it's awesome because you're standing among the clouds and looking down over 'creation'. Pretty neat huh? I'm gonna ask if they allow bungee jumping there... 8D

Whooo and did I mention there's going to be at least 20 of us on that trip? Hell yes, cousins and all. We're going to hire a bus, and we're all going to smush into an old bungalow and the men are going to sleep on the floor again while we ladies get the beds~ But it'll be so much fun, because this is the first time that everyone is actually getting together on something like this. People are even cutting off a day of work, and my cousins are skipping school and uni just to join. I'll be joining everyone on the bus on Sunday from Peradeniya (so I won't have to sit on my ass for six hours since I'm getting on halfway~) and hwoifhods well. I just can't wait lol. Arghhh but it's not this coming weekend, but next weekend. Still. Yayyy! ^^
