Day One
Today is Day One of both my boyfriend and me being unemployed. It's pretty much what I expected. We slept in late, gave some attention to our animals while enjoying breakfast, then he headed directly to his computer and I'm in my chair in the living room with my iPad.
He's VERY into gaming, and now that he's unemployed, he's teaching himself more about game-creation tools so he can finally put some of his ideas into action. I'm just glad he plans to do SOMETHING with his down-time besides playing. I've been trying to convince him to find a better line of work than what he's been doing, but he's pretty resistant to change. This is one small step forward for him, so I'll keep quiet and hope for the best.
As for me, I'm trying to get my brain out of its foggy I-want-to-go-back-to-sleep mode so I can study more of my Project Management guides. As mentioned in my previous entry, getting my certification will likely not have any effect on my return to the world of employment because I don't have a BA/BS, but seeing as I paid nearly $2000 for the class, I should complete it and do the best I can.
We also got a set from the library to start learning Japanese together. I know a bit of Spanish, but not enough to get me anywhere, and he knows a tiny bit of Chinese thanks to his parents' missionary work in China when he was younger. We both expressed an interest in learning Japanese, so we'll see if we actually manage to do more than read the first few pages and return the set. ;P
