Evens....sort of
Well Friday morning...I got a call from Laura, it's official, I am now approved to start working as a Systems Analyst.
Laura asked about starting that day or waiting till Mon, I chose the later, the fact that I even picked up the call at 8am was a feat in and of itself, she agreed. Friday is just a weird day to start a new job.
Really glad I have this job, gonna be busting my ass at it for the next month or so though. Lotta stuff to learn, lotta reading. This weekend I have been trying to get back in a normal sleep pattern but have been failing miserably. 7am wake-ups are not easy to get reacquainted with.
Parents were all happy about the news, they knew the situation I was in, and were probably stressing as much if not more then me. February I'll be hurting for cash a little but mom has some yardwork, housework, etc lined up for me to do for some moolah, so I should be alright.
So yeah...Friday I was in a pretty good mood.
Saturday I really didn't do much till it started getting dark. Headed for Louisville to meet up with
awakenewsleep and go to this flickr mixer. It was fun. Lotta different people, a LOT of different camera hardware. Glad I went instead of staying inside, like I do most Sat. nights
Today I have just been puttering about. Went over to Dad's, talked about the EZ forms, and walked some with Dad and the dog. Yeah, not having to walk against a almost subzero wind chill always makes a walk more enjoyable.
Pretty much for the last hour or two I have been here at Transylvania University working the desk...which reminds me....I better do lab sweeps.
