So I haven't gotten more than 6 hours of sleep per night for about a week, and a lot of those nights were 5 hours of sleep. Not horrifying, but enough to make me really tired.
In other news, they have now closed every route I can use to get to Columbus without taking some kind of crazy, weavy way and when I drove in (not taking the marked detour, because they have always led me astray) I ended up taking an extra half hour or so than normal to get thre. On my way back today I tried following their "detour" and it took me endlessly east, it would seem, so I had to turn around and come back.
The worst abomination of all, however, is the vending machine. They only take exact change, I guess, which is fine...except, it is not noted anywhere on the machine that they only take exact change. And while I do appreciate that, instead of eating my incorrect change, it beeped loudly and informed me that it did not like incorrect change, and allowed me to keep my money, still..I am confused.
If it wants exact change... And food items are either 85 cents or 70 cents, then why exactly does the machine accept, not only dollar bills, but also five dollar bills (at one point it proclaims--with exclamation point--that it even accepts the "New" fives).
I mean, I'm sure I can fathom a time when they might stock something really valuble in the machine and the price would jump up to a whole $1.00, at which point it would need to accept bills. However, I can't imagine them ever charging 5 dollars for any type of snack food.
Perhaps this is a vending machine from the future, when snack foods have been so inflated that they cost 5 dollars.
And you know, I kind of wouldn't have minded paying 5 dollars (or preferably only $1) for the cheezits. I was that hungry, having forgotton my lunch, having gotten to work at 8 and not getting out until 4:30. And I had ones and fives. I even had quarters. But I did not have any more dimes.
In other news, living in the city is great. It's so much prettier than Youngstown. And there are things to do, most of which I guess I don't so I shant need elaborate on that. It's just nice to know that they're there.
Louise's wedding is this weekend and Christina's is the one after that.
I move into my apartment August 11th.
I go back to school August 27th.
By which time, I hope to have finished the work for my internship.
Busy month.
