Beth is certainly braver than I am -- I NEVER shop on Black Friday!

Yes, well... I got the few things I had marked down. Turns out that if you choose the newly-opened stores out in the middle of nowhere, it IS possible to get in and out without losing your sanity. Bought 20 pairs of socks at over 60% off. Not a bad deal! lol

I swear, the stuff on the counter parties at night, and what I'm seeing each morning is a hung-over, tired version of what was there the night before.

Oh, as for the butt jiggle... my kids can tell you how embarrassing it is for Mom to perform her happy dance in public. hehehe

Awww... adorable!

I like the fact that you took a slightly different route with the prompt. A lot of people wrote specifically about the people who would be classified as carriage trade. Instead, you wrote about someone being happy even though they aren't. I like that a lot!

I tend to be a believer in "write what you know". And honestly, I can't imagine that I'll ever be part of the carriage trade. We're not dirt poor, but we're also not anywhere near the upper class. Rather, we're smack in the center where budgets rule, and we dream about one day hitting the lottery and affording that maid.

I really, really want a maid for my birthday next year. Unfortunately, I'm afraid that if I voice this to my husband, I'll end up with the outfit instead. lol

HAHAHA! Well ... it'd be a happy birthday indeed, just not for the person born that day.

She's an awesome woman. So strong and so down to earth. This was really nice to read. And I like Christmases and their Christmas seems like it's gonna be so awesome.

It turns out Christmas was fantastic. It just goes to show (and prove) to the kids that it's all about time spent together, and the gifts don't really make the day. Rather, playing games, watching movies, and just hanging out is what means the most.
