I know it's been a long time since I've posted.
I've been very busy.
I just had my first real vacation in I don't know how long. Went to go visit a friend down in Venice, Florida. Beautiful. And when I got there it was less humid than in Toronto. I have hence decided I would like to own a white sand beach. The ocean was wonderful, and salt water stings my eyes, but I don't care that much. I collected seashells and went looking for sharks teeth. When i couldn't find any, I was given some by a lovely gentleman. I am now the proud owner of a megladon tooth as well as teeth from sandsharks, tiger sharks, and mako sharks. Some of them are quite gorgeous and I'd love to have set into silver. I may have to bring them for someone to see. He would love them. It would be a shame for him not to see and hold these things.
I didn't end up getting my tattoo down there so I'm planning on doing it this month instead, given that a friend of mine would like to see how it's done. I did, however, find the best karaoke bar I've ever been to down in a little drinking hole down there. Amazing songs. Filled with cowboys and bikers. I got offered a spot on the regulars list where they keep a list of the songs you like to sing and just pull you up whenever. I also got asked to move down there. :P Too bad I like Toronto so much. It's a nice area. I made a bunch of new friends. And was invited to the waffle house at 3 in the morning by guys shouting : "Hey! Bettie Page! We're going for waffles! wanna come?" That still makes me smile. If you're on facebook, I'll be posting some photos of the lovely beaches, and palm trees.
I also ate chinese food out of those little paper boxes.
In other news, work is good. Home is good, but messy. Family is good. Friends are good. And well, dating adventures are persisting, which tells me that they're going well too. All in all, I'm starting to get my shit together. And it feels amazing.
I am also going white water rafting in Ottawa in a week. How cool is that?
My next question is,
who knows if there are any hole in the walls that have fantastic karaoke?
I know a couple that have asstastic karaoke, and others that are so big you're lucky if you get up to sing twice. But maybe you know something I don't.
I'm off to go relax, have a shower, and enjoy Harold and Kumar. Oh yes.
