The last year wasn't the best. I took a few knocks in 2010, many of them self-inflicted (including those I inflicted on others), and no year when a friend dies can be considered a happy one.
I'm still here though and there have been many happy events to remind me of why life is a good thing. Also, some learning experiences such as 'Absinthe: If it seems like a good idea it probably isn't'
Inspired by a writer of
chains-of-irony 's acquaintance I'm keeping my NY resolutions nice and achievable:
1.Get a Haircut - I think I can pull off a floppy fringe but it's all getting a bit eighties now.
2. Register with and visit dentist - needs doing and there's one across the road from work that's apparently very good.
3. Read Capital in full - Marx is actually a great writer and I would like to be able to say "I read it all, not just Volume 1"
