For those of you who've missed it, there's been a big review of higher education funding and an even bigger review coming up on spending.
According to the BBC they're looking at slashing state contributions to Uni teaching from 3.9bn to 0.7bn. A further 1bn set to go from research budgets.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-11550619 We knew it was going to be bad. But jeez-oh, this is just them getting started.
It's strange to think of what life's going to be like for coming generations. The fact that as things stand, some younger friends already raise eyebrows when they first realise that I went to University without paying fees.
I'm very proud of my education and immensely grateful for the quality of my teachers. Even have fond enough memories of the 'ville to give a small subscription to the alumni fund.
It's quite likely this means others won't get that chance for those memories now, or the thrill of thinking so hard you physically feel that you've learned something.
I am extremely angry.
