All right, so princess_dexter posted about top drama boyfriends, prompted by this discussion over here. And I'm partial to lists. Particularly lists about males in excess of physical attractiveness and potential as mating material.

...Also because I'm scared to go further in Spring Waltz because I am terrified it will end in sudden DOOM and TRAGEDY and I just ( Read more... )

WHY HELLO PURDY PICSPAM.

Is it wrong I'm going down your thoughts and making a mental checklist of dramas I need to watch to see these guys in action? I really find myself interested in Dalja's Spring, even though the synopsis is so not my thing, because you're like the third person to profess a deep love for Tae Bong. I AM INTRIGUED.

So far from wrong! (But I am tickled silly, because usually I walk away from your posts with such mental checklists of my own!) Dal Ja's Spring is beyond great! Even greater than my love for Tae Bong, honestly, honestly, is how much I like Dal Ja herself. I can frequently say I like well enough most female main characters, once I hem and haw and make lists of excusable traits I wish weren't there but are so I try to accept them and move on. But Dal Ja, I truly liked and maybe even kind of admired, and enjoyed getting to learn more about as the series progressed. The show actually has several strong (in different ways, interestingly) female characters that I liked getting to explore, and I do not say that lightly--I am a consummate fastforwarder of secondaries' scenes!

So BE INTRIGUED! BE VERY INTRIGUED! :D

fl;sdfjsdlfjsdf it all sounds so interesting (and I love me some Chae Rim from Powerful Opponents) but I confess I'm dragging my feet because I don't care about 30+ office ladies looking for love. Is that really prevalent?

No! No, wait! It is SO so so so not that! It's not--it's like... Dal Ja! She's a dreamy one, that girl, and she has some high notions of romance and love. But life, the universe and everything! Pretty determined to keep her down and make her a spinster! So she starts to cope with it and work on accepting things as they are! Wouldn't you know, then some contradictory ideals of love sneakily present themselves to her!

Oh, that sounds cheesy. I mean, it is, it's about love and falling in love... But it's also totally about women of a certain age totally in a continual process of learning to love themselves. And what sort of compromises (if any) they're willing to make for work, their families, and yeah, love.

Ugh, still cheesy.

One lady is this totally fierce, frigid man-eater! There is nothing cheesy about her!

Man, I suck at this. But I do still support your watching it! (But...maybe not as much as I do Bad Family ^^)

I maintain that you need to watch Bad Family.

I did try the first ep! I heard it gets better, but so far I haven't the motivation. *kicks rocks*

Give it an episode or two. It took me a little to get into it, but it's so worth it. Lots of wacky fun times, and it's pretty sweet.

Duuuuude, yes, keep going, really really! The second episode alone is 14312 times better (more fun! faster paced! so much less character set-up and more character do-stuff!) than the first one. *supports developing motivation* :D
