Also, I totally agree about how people assume everything comes out of some religious quarell-it doesn't! So many people think that the Isreal/Palestine conflict is religious, but its not even in the remotest way. People just don't understand, or don't want to understand, different views or ways of life.
I'm the same way when I home; I want to be home taking care of my family, not roaming around the city. Now that I'm back at college, I really miss being at home, so I understand your homesick feeling~

Exactly. For some reason in the modern era where information can be accessed by anyone almost instantly, the level of ignorance and xenophobia seems to increase. Sometimes I get the feeling that those who often criticize others or support a ban regarding a belief are the ones that aren't willing to make an effort to even begin to understand why those people choose to follow what they believe in.
I guess it the old habit of rejecting something foreign will always be stuck onto some people. Maybe it's me, but sometimes I feel the attitude of "Either live by what I live by or go away" is one thing that will always be around as long as there are people who choose to be ignorant.
It's getting harder for me to ignore homesickness lately. Usually I'd just focus on other things to not think about it, but ever since I bought my flight ticket, I've been counting down the days until I go home.
