Fatwa against facebook
I cannot type this without giggling.
So yesterday I was opening one of my friend's profile at a popular internet social community site better known as facebook, and his status immediately made me go, "Whaa..?" Long story short, he gave a link to a certain article (in Indonesian).

More urgent issues are being neglected while more irrelevant stuff are being concentrated on. What's the world coming to?
The presidential election this year THANKFULLY only has 3 candidates due to some regulation issues. 5 years ago, we had 5 candidates, but I was too young to vote back then anyway.
The candidates are the current president (SBY), an ex-president (Megawati), and the current vice-president (Jusuf Kalla), so nobody new to the business.
I'm still not sure, but from the looks of the candidates, it looks like the current president's looking at a second term coming. Megawati isn't exactly popular after selling off several of our islands and Jusuf Kalla, well..he's more of a businessman than a politician. Though the growth of our infrastructure this presidential reign was due to his projects, he's not exactly good at building and maintaining relations with other nations.
SBY has been just about the only president that's willing to reach out to the people, though I admit while he tries, sometimes with all the security issues and whatnot that he has to carry around with him, it sometimes fails.
