To kick off this weekend, I visited Bryan Steinhauer in the hospital.  Talk about awful, this poor kid got into a bar fight in Binghamton back in May and was beaten into a coma.  He's undergoing an intense regimen of physical therapy and hasdifficulty speaking.  As unfortunate as that is, he is also very lucky.  He hasn't suffered brain damage, and is moreamazingly in good spirits.  He just wants to get on with his life and isn't about to let this stop him.  I really hope thatif I'm ever in such a position, I can take it like he's taking it.

Closed off Friday night getting hopped up on Miracle Fruit with Will Newman.  Before you call the DEA, Miracle Fruit is not a drug.  It's a berry that somehow binds to your taste receptors, making bitter and sour tastes become sweet.  Will Newman organized a get together where we ate the fruit, and then went through a variety of bitter and sour foods ranging fromlemons, grapefruits, cheeses, tequilla, et cetera.

This weekend, agian I make the trip from NYC to New Jersey to Long Island to New York City.  This weekend was Brian Wong's birthday, as and a favor to Qi and Samantha, I took the train to Metuchen to drive Qi back to the Island.  October is a big month for birthdays.  Friday was Brian Wong and Jenn's.  This week it's Rob Sarocco, Monica, the Twins Lawyers, and Holly's.  Totally killing my budget here!

Pictured:  The so called "Miracle Fruit."  If you ask me, a fruit that can cure cancer is a miracle.  A fruit that can change sour to sweet is a neat party trick.
