9-9-09 beatles day
so i desperately rushed home to get ready. had to be there at 6. got to portland and could not find parking on congress street to save my life. walked to port city music hall and was there. steps away from a music forum called "dissecting the beatles". a discussion and listening session for the new rereleased albums. they were gonna do a demonstration of recording techniques they used to get the effects on there revolutionary albums. i was there, steps away. "21 and over only" fuck. "ash, ill see you back here in 2 hrs, have fun! i cant miss this!" but of coarse i couldnt leave her there so we headed back sulking. well i guess theres the indie music and arts festival on the 12th, probably my last real chance for taking in some of the local scene this year, and my last real chance to converge with this society. we'll see how it goes, hope to meet some new faces.
