*picks up his cup of tea*
Would you like to move into my office, Erik? It's far more comfortable than sitting here in the kitchen...
((OOC: In other words, Charles and I are online and ready to play whenever
masterofmetals and his mun would like. Just reply to this, or AIM us at insidecerebro.))
And far more likely to raise eyebrows, should one of your students come in and wonder why you're enjoying a cup of tea with the 'bad guy', hm?
::offers a small, yet somehow goodnatured smirk::

*amused*
At least they'll knock, at my office. Here, I suppose Scott could burst in at any minute, shoot first, and ask questions later.

And what should I do if Mister Summers comes to your office? Hide in the closet, Charles?

Would you feel safer if we locked the door?

I fear that may be best on this occasion.

Be my guest, then.
*goes on into the room where, besides his desk and the chair in front of it, there's also a little sitting area in front of a fireplace, with a loveseat and a few chairs and end tables.* *sits next to one of the end tables and places his teacup on it*
And please, have a seat.

So. How is... *stops himself before he says John* ...everyone?

::pauses, loosing his smile slowly::
And how is Mister Summers and the Wolverine?
::is reffering to the whole loss of Jean thing, because his player is assuming we're going for movieverse here::

I'm glad to hear it.
*sighs* Scott and Logan are fine, I think. Too busy arguing with one another to pay much attention to anything else. They fight over Scott's motorbike like a pair of teenagers.
((OOC: This is movieverse!Charles, mostly. But it's complicated, because Jean is currently around and active on theatrical_muse. So I'm assuming this is either quite awhile after X2, after the whole Phoenix thing, or just a post-X2 AU.))

Somehow, I'm not surprised.
((OOC: Just so you know, my Mags is mostly movieverse, with some comic cannon and some of my own interpretation thrown in to fill the gaps in his movieverse history. Yeah.))

So. *raises an eyebrow* What would Mystique or John say, if they knew you were having tea with "the bad guy"?
Reply
Pyro probably wouldn't say anything. His desire to share a few hours with Mister Drake and Rogue is probably as strong as mine to spend some time with you.
But Mystique...?
I don't think she'd like the idea very much.

*mildly* He could, you know. I certainly wouldn't stop them, if they wanted to go to a movie or to the shopping mall... *frowns into his teacup* Though I think Bobby and Marie might need a bit more time. At the moment, I think they still feel rather betrayed.
*sighs and takes a sip of his tea* Remind me why we can't all be on the same side, again?

... Charles ...
::his tone is warning. he knows that his old friend knows very well why the can't be on the same side again, and answering that question would only serve to bring them back into their age old debate. which, while he wouldn't be against arguing his side again, as he believes that strongly in it, he knows that Charles isn't fond of the argument. so, basically, he's trying to spare Charles the headache::

I know.
