(RP: Tea, continued)

Feb 20, 2004 21:25

*picks up his cup of tea*

Would you like to move into my office, Erik? It's far more comfortable than sitting here in the kitchen...

((OOC: In other words, Charles and I are online and ready to play whenever masterofmetals and his mun would like. Just reply to this, or AIM us at insidecerebro.))

::does likewise::

And far more likely to raise eyebrows, should one of your students come in and wonder why you're enjoying a cup of tea with the 'bad guy', hm?

::offers a small, yet somehow goodnatured smirk::

*leads the way*

*amused*

At least they'll knock, at my office. Here, I suppose Scott could burst in at any minute, shoot first, and ask questions later.

::follows, looking amused as well::

And what should I do if Mister Summers comes to your office? Hide in the closet, Charles?

*tries--and fails--to suppress a snort of laughter*

Would you feel safer if we locked the door?

::offers a little chuckle of his own::

I fear that may be best on this occasion.

*gestures at the door, once they're in the office, because he's ahead of Erik and it would be awkward, otherwise. besides, he knows Erik can lock it with a wave of his hand, if he wants.* *smiles*

Be my guest, then.

*goes on into the room where, besides his desk and the chair in front of it, there's also a little sitting area in front of a fireplace, with a loveseat and a few chairs and end tables.* *sits next to one of the end tables and places his teacup on it*

And please, have a seat.

::stops about halfway into the room, and turns at the waist to glance back at the door. holds up a hand, cupped, as though he's holding the doorknob in it, and then flicks his wrist, turning the invisible doorknob. the sound of the door locking follows, and then Erik turns back, smiling faintly, as though he's proud of his little display. hesitates for a moment, and then takes a seat on the other side of the endtable Charles is sitting next to. takes a sip of his tea, and then too sets it down on said table::

So.

*watches, smiling a little, as Erik shows off locks the door* *clasps his hands on his lap and turns to Erik when he sits*

So. How is... *stops himself before he says John* ...everyone?

John is fine, Charles. Tempramental, loud, and at times, rude - as per usual - but fine. As are Mystique and the others.

::pauses, loosing his smile slowly::

And how is Mister Summers and the Wolverine?

::is reffering to the whole loss of Jean thing, because his player is assuming we're going for movieverse here::

*smiles a little, glad to hear that John sounds the same*

I'm glad to hear it.

*sighs* Scott and Logan are fine, I think. Too busy arguing with one another to pay much attention to anything else. They fight over Scott's motorbike like a pair of teenagers.

((OOC: This is movieverse!Charles, mostly. But it's complicated, because Jean is currently around and active on theatrical_muse. So I'm assuming this is either quite awhile after X2, after the whole Phoenix thing, or just a post-X2 AU.))

::quirks a small smile::

Somehow, I'm not surprised.

((OOC: Just so you know, my Mags is mostly movieverse, with some comic cannon and some of my own interpretation thrown in to fill the gaps in his movieverse history. Yeah.))

*takes a sip of his tea*

So. *raises an eyebrow* What would Mystique or John say, if they knew you were having tea with "the bad guy"?

Re: masterofmetals February 20 2004, 21:11:10 UTC
::can't help but laugh at this, as he's always considered himself the bad guy, seeing as how most people see him that way. so Charles reffering to himself as the bad guy - as opposed to the good guy that everyone else seems to peg him as - is incredibly amusing::

Pyro probably wouldn't say anything. His desire to share a few hours with Mister Drake and Rogue is probably as strong as mine to spend some time with you.

But Mystique...?

I don't think she'd like the idea very much.

*smiles, pleased that he made Erik laugh and because, well, it's nice to hear that Erik still wants to spend time with him*

*mildly* He could, you know. I certainly wouldn't stop them, if they wanted to go to a movie or to the shopping mall... *frowns into his teacup* Though I think Bobby and Marie might need a bit more time. At the moment, I think they still feel rather betrayed.

*sighs and takes a sip of his tea* Remind me why we can't all be on the same side, again?

::frowns at this::

... Charles ...

::his tone is warning. he knows that his old friend knows very well why the can't be on the same side again, and answering that question would only serve to bring them back into their age old debate. which, while he wouldn't be against arguing his side again, as he believes that strongly in it, he knows that Charles isn't fond of the argument. so, basically, he's trying to spare Charles the headache::
