Summer in Denver, and how I Miss So Many People ...

So it's summer in Denver, CO. It's fun here, but there's a lot of things to be done. My boyfriend and I have been together for a year, and haven't gotten down to marriage because my family refuses to see their little girl "whisked away" so to speak by "a hateful religion." First off, Deq Ahmed is the sweetest, most intelligent man in the world. T me at least. CHris, a.k.a. Trekwest, could not stop doubting Deq's endurance with me. He's not exactly for me because of what he said about Deq. I'm sick of people saying how Islam is a religion of hate when it's a religion of peace, and Deq's heart and spirit as well as those of all the sisters I hang out with prove it. Sister ELizabeth, for instance, says Deq and I ought to get married. She's right. But the key here is patience. So for readers everywhere, I hope this will keep us all thinking, should an American girl marry a Somali Muslim? I think so, and if it's love, it's meant to be there.
