Well, I finished 'Memoirs of a Geisha."
SUCH a good book.
You wouldn't think you would get any revelation
from a book about Japanese women that are just one step up
from being prostitutes. But; I did.
The story was about sayuri's life as a geisha...
But the whole book was how she did all these things
and every second of it was to somehow get closer,
to this guy; the Charmain.
As a child she was a slave, and one day she was sitting on a rock by a river
and she was crying. And the Chairman who is like a rich person of high power,
and it was abnormal for him to even make notice of a slave.
But he walked over to her and told her; "you're beautiful." and like encouraged her and stuff.
Her whole life after that when she became a geisha, she tried her hardest to
please him, and she desired nothing more than to be with him.
She did all sorts of stupid things.
But she was always so scared to tell him how she really felt.
and sometimes circumstances prevented her from even the hope of being with him..
But at the end he told her, this whole time everything that had happened in order to be a
geisha, was because he planned it; just so that He could get closer to her.
That he loved her more than anything and wanted to be there for her, and he wanted her.
He understood all the stupid things she did was so that He could save her.
and in the end; he did.
I dont know I just got so much revelation from it.
Like, Gods there all the time and as much as we love and want him..
and try everything to be with him..
we mess up along the way thinking we have to DO DO DO DO DO DO in order to gain His love;
when really He just wants us to come to Him. and confess our love to Him.
That we have such a freedom in Him, we dont need to DO things to impress Him, to make
Him love us... because He already has so much undying, unconditional love for us.
And Hes been there since the VERY beginning, when we were at our worst..crying out..
crying out to be saved from the captivity we've been in.
