Holly's Room

I'm Holly, I'm 22 and from Christchurch, New Zealand.

What you see when you first open the door and look down my little hallway. To the left is my bathroom (which I'm not going to show you because it's not cleaned, and nor is it very exciting) and to the right is my closet, which, although it's a double one, it never seems big enough, lol!

The end of the hallway, looking at most of my room. Note my "Messy Table" on the right. :P

My desk, which is about as clean as it ever gets, lol. The purple frames are new, thus why there's nothing in most of them yet.

This used to be my photo wall, but now it's turned into more of a "drama wall" with posters from most of the shows I've been in. Some are kind of scruffy because they're almost ten years old. I got all the little ones laminated last week and am planning to do the bigger ones too, just as soon as I get some pockets in the right size.

My bed, which is actually made nicely for once, haha! The netting used to be over my armchair but I moved it because of the cat. :)

My unexciting dresser that I inherited from my grandmother. I really should get something to put over the top if it to protect it, but I haven't yet. The leopard print case has theatre makeup in it, and the black case has jewellery. All my "real" makeup and stuff is in the bathroom.

My lovely armchair, where I am sitting right now as I type this post. Lol I didn't realise I'd left that bag there! FAIL. It has a pink cat on it and says "Have a nice day". :)

My lovely built-in shelves. I don't know what I'd do without these, they hold so much of my crap! Notice that I like cute little storage boxes, haha!?

Two boxes with all the letters, cards and postcards I've ever gotten in them, Some more stray stationary, my extremely tiny DVD collection (I'm not much of a movie person), origami supplies and two teeny photos of Audrey that I couldn't think of anywhere else for.

A box with unused stationary in it, a photo of my best friend and I, a teeny origami crane she made, two glass owls, a Tatty Teddy photo holder from another friend (I still need to take a decent photo of her and I to put in it!) and my green Monster. Monster is actually a boy, but he just likes wearing a tiara. The other thing behind the photo is a giraffe sock puppet that was a prop from a show I was in. I liked it so much that I adopted it once the run ended. His name is Geoffrey.

A Hinamatsuri display I bought in Japan in 2004 (I know it's not supposed to stay up all year but I like it so much that I leave it up anyway), also a little doll my parents bought me in Thailand and my "Email Queen"

My bookshelf, which I recently colour coordinated. I'm not a Harry Potter fan so never bought the last book, but, seeing that suspicious gap next to the first six I'm feeling like perhaps I should, lol! The bottom shelf is full of old journals that I can't bear to throw out. Next to the bookshelf is some of my scrapbooking stuff, and my noticeboard. The door that the noticeboard is on leads to Under The House...where creepy crawly things probably live, so I never open it. :P

My pinboard, which is recently covered in scrapbooking paper to make it look slightly less ugly! Thinking of painting the edges of it white too, to it matches the shelves next to it. The blue business card has been deliberately blurred out since I'm sure my boss doesn't want her personal information all over Livejournal! It amuses me that I still have 21st birthday themed things up, even though I'm 22 now! :P

Two more shelves of scrapbooking stuff. The blue box at the top has un-scrapped photos and the green one is full of ribbon.

My wardrobe and the foyer outside. Some of my stuff always seems to spill out onto that coat rack haha!

My attempt at making 1000 paper stars! I'm about halfway there, yay! Also some knitted mice and candles. :)

The awesome doll I bought from Japan. I know she's probably not supposed to live on the windowsill since her kimono will fade, but she doesn't usually sit there, I just put her there to take a photo. :)
