Harry, your next recommendations I am going to be taking with a grain of salt. Perhaps a bucket of salt. An entire deposit of salt would not be remiss. Teletubbies? You are quite mad. I will keep to Chekov and Dostoevsky. You would do well to look into Freud.

To those that would inquire, I am well settled.

And I have adopted a dog. She is ( Read more... )

They tend to grow less shy with time.

I am thinking she must have been abandoned - some of her tendencies are feral and she bares her teeth and rolls over any time I approach. But I like dogs. It is not a hardship to teach her otherwise.

You are well?

With time, I'm sure you'll gain her trust.

Well enough, yes.

One hopes. I do not have the best hand with animals.

That is good to hear.

Ah. A question. Will there be trouble, regarding the elections? Politics sometimes can result in... ah, conflict, where I am from.

[ooc; LJ LIES TO YOU. D:]

Oh?

And yourself?

I don't believe there is usually trouble, no. There are some who are unhappy with the outcome, generally, but I don't recall any problems caused by the election last time. Does your world also hold elections?

[ooc; APPARENTLY HITTING 'POST COMMENT' AND MOVING TO ANOTHER TAB JUST ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH ANYMORE.]

Ah, which isn't to say I don't like them. The opposite, really. I just have very little experience with their care.

I am well, thank you.

It depends on the country. Some have elected officials, some still possess monarchies, though those are fading out rather rapidly as time goes on.

I didn't think you disliked them, if you went out of your way to get a dog. I own a dog myself.

Good to hear.

Hm. My country is a military state- I've begun to notice that is rather a minority among other countries and worlds.

Oh? They are good companions. Loyal. It is something I appreciate.

If it works for your people, then it is not so bad, da?

[ooc; I'm having flashbacks to a horrible shanty some army buddies of mine used to sing. D:]

Very much so.

The country functions, yes. I doubt most people there have any trouble.

[ooc; ...Is there internet napalm involved D:]

Your world seems an interesting place. Different than mine, at least.

[ooc; ... no. the tag line was, 'napalm! sticks to kids!' ... never believe anything you hear about army boys having a clean sense of humor. D: I swear the song has like forty verses.]

Interesting is one way to put it. I haven't found many places it is similar to.

[ooc; Oh god, that's awful! ...army boys have too much time on their hands, forty verses srs?]

There is nothing wrong with being unique. Though I suppose it can be isolating, as well, da?

[ooc; ... yes. I probably knew them all at some point. XD;;]

Occasionally. Not sharing the same outlook as others is something I'm rather accustomed to at this point.

[ooc; ...wow. No words.]

Ah. It is the same with me. I hold to beliefs that are different than those of my comrades.

[ooc; yeah. never roadtrip with guys on shore leave. D: bad idea.]
