BBBLLLLAAAAHHHHHH!
I'm soooooooooooooooooooo excited! I went to the senior center today and they love my ideas! This is so neat! They're going to have me prep and cook the meals for the 21st, too, so that's cool. And on the 30th of Sept they want me to cook for like 80 people and I get an assistant! Ha! I already told them I want Jimmy to be it, since he's knowledgeable and listens really well.
So, work has been a bitch lately. I hate working with all females! Someone said something about Janice wanting to make everyone quit by lowering all of the hours to like 5-8 a week. And the day before Jenna had told me at Mandy's shower that it was upper management who wanted them to fire everyone but two full time CSRs to handle it. So, when I heard that they were blaming Janice, I stood up for her. Something that I don't usually get involved in at work at all, but it's Josh's mom, you know? And I felt bad for her, she's getting blamed for everything just because they're making changes in the office and she's the new one, so everyone blames her. So, I stepped up and repeated what Jenna had said to me and that Janice was trying to dish out the hours evenly and we were lucky to still have our jobs at all. That was like a week ago.
So, then, Josh calls me all stressed out. He says his mom doesn't want me in her house at all anymore, since I repeat things wrongly to other people at work. Why would she bring that out of work? Why not ask me first?! NO, she brings it into my personal life and tells my best friend first. So I hung up on Josh and called her. She said that someone told her that I had said that SHE wanted to fire everyone but two CSRs. And I told her, no, that what I said was in defense of her. She says that she doesn't know what to believe. She knows me for 5 years, but she's going to believe someone she's known for 3 months? I was soooo hurt. After all of that work that I did on their backyard and helping them clean the basement. Plus, stepping up and defending her! And I'm the bad person?! She says she didn't THINK I was that way, but she doesn't know what to believe. Whatever. So, then I asked the person that I had told the info to in the first place what exactly I said to her and she repeated it back to me exactly! There was nothing wrong with it! So, I called Barb the main manager in and told her with this other person what was going on. And she told me, she didn't care. Not a big deal... if it wasn't interfering with the way things are going on there. She said basically that I could quit if I wanted to, that it was no big deal. Whatever. If you don't care about your employees and making their work atmosphere at least decent, then your employees aren't going to care about the business that they're working for. So, anyway, sorry to vent.
