This weekend I went back to Haven for the solstice party, the first time I've done so in several years. There was lots of knife fighting. Friday night I taught an impromptu basics of malaysian knife fighting as I know it. We then did a bear pit for a couple of hours. Saturday night I was eliminated in the first round of the knife fighting tourney by the person who would ultimately win. After that I fought for a couple of more hours giving lessons along the way.
Today I a sore... more sore than I have been in some time and I've got bruises coming up on my arms.
Things I noticed fighting wise:
I need to do more work on integrating what I've learned from Capoeira into my more violent fighting. I did manage to deliver a couple of really effective rasteras and ponteiras.
I need to think about and perhaps post my "A fight is a slice of life" philosophy. It's not really "mine" per se but, more my take on it.
Conditioning: must. do. more.
A lot of other stuff happened but, for now I'm tired and need to get up in the morning so I'll catch you up later.

Edit: I saw the last match from the treehouse and missed the call, my bad.
