AHAHA O-OKAY nothing's changed on the Eleventh Division end so, uh. I guess...it's Abel time?

Abel is appalled Cielo has never had sugary goodness in his life. Abel has taken it upon himself to force-feed Cielo as many sweets as possible for ALL THOSE LONELY YEARS HE MUST HAVE HAD...also still thinks Cielo's a chick and doesn't actually know his name. GG Abel, you smooth operator.

...a-and Albert.

For some reason Abel's really taken to Albert! (NOT WITH.) Abel bid because his player is on crack and...well. Albert does look like Tres! Stature and something about the facial expression--not not lonely, or something similarly retarded. And when they first talked at the auction Abel thought Albert was...interesting, and likable, and figured out fairly quickly Albert didn't smile often so it felt nice, being able to elicit that from someone. And when Abel figures that kind of thing out--yeah, if it strikes him suddenly that he'd like to see Albert smile he will go to ANY LENGTH. ANY. And this can probably happen at any time so. After the sundae thing Abel is definitely attached to Albert and will seek him out and talk in his general direction because he likes Albert and likes talking to Albert and...yes. He will poke and prod Albert until they're at a level of comfort where, yes, Abel will make GAY JOKES.

Also of note: if there was a crisis situation where Abel had to go Krusnik, Abel would not want to do it in front of Albert. There's another essay altogether on that but it boils down to Abel not wanting to transform in front of people he likes for fear that they will hate or be disgusted/traumatized by him. If Abel gets into a fight at camp he would lie to Albert about it.

Abel is very gay for a straight man.

Abel doesn't understand why people keep giving him weird looks re: his (TOTALLY PLATONIC) interest in Albert. This isn't to say Abel can remain happily oblivious to what's wrong with a person even if it's SHOVED IN HIS FACE because Abel is not ignorant. At all. The problem being that no one's actually willing to tell him anything. And he's not curious as to why people are like O_o at his happy-go-lucky outlook on his and Albert's relationship, because no one's...stepping up and telling him, and Abel doesn't quite see what the problem is that he's formulating this uppity opinion about someone if no one's willing to volunteer cold solid facts as to why he's wrong. Abel in his brain is right until he is proven atrociously, atrociously wrong.

As such he actually got mildly put off when Caesar started saying those things about Albert when no one was stepping forward to back them up. Abel will not judge someone based off of what other people just outright say because he's a really, really nice guy and ergo just can't. If someone actually told Abel about the kinds of things Albert's done to warrant standoffish attitudes and the like...well, things would happen of course but. In the end, if it's not Vatican-related legality issues about which he actually gives a crap and over which he has authority, then Abel as a priest and also as a sinner himself cannot judge but only forgive.

PS: not gay.

Nothing's changed with Ikkaku 'cept that Yuma doesn't like him as much anymore. She has this thing about when he scared kids, see.

Watanuki is tasty meats for Yachiru and Yuma. Yachiru will chew on him every time they meet because she is clueless about the whole seeing-spirits thinger and he tastes like confetti candy. She also thinks he's a little silly for staying out when he can't fight. Yuma...has no idea why she wants to nibble on him omgwtf what!

Rukia...is still not high in Yachiru's book because wow, she doesn't yell and disagree nearly as much at anyone else in camp WHAT! But she doesn't dislike her either. Still need to do something Women's Association-y at a later date.

Kid is ugh awful in a dress. Get rid of the chest hair, honey.

Abel would be one of the people who does not remind Cielo of a canonmate that he's actually held a fairly long conversation with! He doesn't see what the big deal is because he doesn't know what he missed and thus has a very so-so attitude about things like that. People are what matter to him, and Abel is nice and funny and a little strange and that's. Nice! Cielo should come introduce himself properly once he's not a hot woman anymore. It'll be totally new for him.

ALBERT ON ABEL COMING UP IN A BIT BECAUSE THAT ONE ALSO DESERVES AN ESSAY BUT NOT AT HALF-PAST 11

ps. he's also not gay

ALBERT ON ABEL which also sort of doubles as an essay for Why Albert Is A Fantastic Social Retard which triples as My God, What Is This, They Only Threaded Thrice Really:

Just for background context, Albert is a naturally suspicious man. He's really the opposite of Caesar in some ways, and one of them is that he is a good strategist long before he is a good person. This means that he doesn't trust easily, and that he also doesn't get attached easily. Common sense--he's quite a ruthless man, he manipulates people as easily as he breathes, there's a chance that someday, he'll have to use everybody he associates with in order to achieve his goals, and personal feelings cannot be a factor in that. Hell, the two people he would 'trust' most here are Caesar (and not because they're family, but because he can be predicted), and Luc (...who is his general and ally, but not friend, and is unpredictable due to issues of occasional batshittery.)

So Albert distrusts Abel by default, because he doesn't know a thing about him. But! At the same time, Albert needs...not so much friends here, or allies, but something to balance against what his younger brother has managed to do in the months before he arrived and the time immediately after he arrived, which is pretty much discredit Albert before he ever came to camp. THEREFORE Albert finds himself able to distrust Abel less than he does many others in camp, simply because Abel arrived at the same time he did. This makes Abel one of the people who has not interacted at length with either Silverberg, unlike, say, Saya and Yuma (hurr playercest), or Tomo, or Yukari. He's found that interacting with Caesar's friends usually means some sort of pressure/harrassment on him, and unlike in Suikoverse, it just. Doesn't. Let up. Which he can deal with, obviously, but it gets very '=_=' after awhile.

Abel, in contrast, in completely unbiased. So Albert is guarded around him, but just in the way of strangers with secrets. Abel doesn't have some sort of hidden war-agenda, or Silverberg-agenda, or politics-agenda. And Albert's...rarely, if ever, encountered someone that purely free of interest in what he represents and in him as a person without knowing him.

Add on that Albert is most probably not so great at dealing with people as people. Underlings, superiors, allies, enemies, but not...people. And as a person, what Albert's seen of Abel is a funny mix. Interesting and intriguing; from a different world with parallels that sound absolutely fascinating; goofy but not the way that grates directly on Albert's nerves; emotional bucket; technically his peer on a few levels. And he's been honest with Albert, so far at least, and that is kind of new too, 'cos if he's been honest then he's also a bit silly--bidding on someone who reminds you of someone is kind of dumbly sentimental unless there's a hidden motive, which Albert, of course, could not find from their conversation, which just gives him a headache!

It's refreshing, and offputting, and a little confusing, and irritating, especially because Abel isn't the type of person you keep guards up around for very long and Albert ALWAYS HAS GUARDS UP no matter what. Wacky brain antics go!

...of course Albert will reveal almost absolutely none of this because anyone he unclenches around will of course automatically be seen as a weak point. RETARD.

Lastly, the Krusnik thing is something I hope doesn't have to come up either. Because it is power, if it's understood, and Albert will of course try to understand and use it if he glimpses it. It would be a little like Yuber, the demon he summoned to assist in the war, and it would shunt Abel waaay back into the tool > person corner again.

YEAH THAT ABOUT COVERS IT
