Okay so it's been a while since I last updated (April the 2nd!) But theres a few things that have happened that I should write down. I did decide in the end to move in with Sam, Jess, Craig and Jemma. I have to say that its a case of so far so good. I haven't been there long yet and there hasn't been any arguments or problems between us all so far so here's hoping that continues. I'm enjoying having my own space but there is drawbacks, mainly cooking for myself and having to pay for bills and the like. It's great living with other people but having to spend your money on bills and not leave you with a lot after this is a bit upsetting and can get you down if you thought about it too much. I've decided that I should just go with the flow for now and see how everything goes across this next year. I'd really like to find myself a girlfriend sometime over the next year but again I need to not think about that too much otherwise it'll play away in the my mind and upset me and get me down. Anyway, moving on to what else has happened recently.

So yesterday I got back from the T In The Park Festival in Scotland and I have to say that I thought it was such a great experience and had a really good time. I went up there with my mate Phil and his Fiancé Laura, Leanne, Tamsyn and her boyfriend Dave, Liz and Vicky. I haven't really met many of the others before the Festival except for on a couple of occasions (one of which was the New Years Eve Party!) but it all went really well and we had a good time.

The journey up to Scotland took us about 6 hours after setting off at about 9.30 in the morning, picking up Leanne and then going in convoy with the other 4 guys and girls who were in Dave's car. The journey up was a laugh and including us getting involved in a MASSIVE rain downfall. The only way I can describe the intensity of it is if someone turned the tap on from dripping to full power. Once we finally arrived at the festival we had to park up in the car park and unload everything to carry into the festival site. There was a split between the guys over which tactic to take; whether to take everything in one go or whether to take the tent and your bag in the first batch and then come back for everything else. I decided to take my bag and tent and chair and left my booze until the second trip. This was such a bad idea. The queues getting in were insane to say this was supposedly early day sales before the festival officially started on friday afternoon. What's more, the car park was miles away from the entrance to the site which was really deflating as it took us ages to get near the entrance and everything I was carrying began to hurt. Once we got to entrance there was hundreds of people queueing up waiting to get in. I figured that some of these guys had been there since very early in the morning as the ground had turned to complete mud (a sign of things to come) and there was rubbish everywhere. Once we got through the entrance we had to try and work out which campsite to bas ourselves in. I couldn't believe how difficult that would be as there wasn't a lot of space anywhere around the to be had. I figured that getting early day tickets would mean we would have a lot of space and could pitch our tents quite well together and have a bit of space for our seating together. Luckily when we decided to go to the furthest campsite Laura and Leanne found a space for u to pitch up our tents. It meant the area was a little tight but we managed to get everyones down and have a bit of space for all our seats but Vicky and Liz had to pitch up their tents just behind another group. We had such a good laugh as a group together that evening and the the music itself was brilliant when we went to the arena across the weekend. There were times when we didn't go down straight away as on saturday and sunday the opening acts no one was interested in seeing them. All in all, we had a great laugh and looking back at some of the photos that Laura has put on facebook has brought back some memories.
One of the side issues that I had about the whole experience was the volume of mud that was in the Arena and around the campsites. The weather hadn't been too bad at all and only really rained badly on Saturday afternoon and overnight going into Sunday but it became a complete mudbath. I was very relived that I had bought waterproof trousers and a Kag-In-A-Bag as they proved invaluable when dealing with the mud being flicked up and the rain. The wellies I had were another matter! They didn't leak or anything but they hurt the ankles so much!! I ended up having to leave the festival arena on saturday evening early because I didn't really fancy the main headlining groups and I need to make some repairs to my ankles and get off my feet as my back was in agony.
It was great to have this break seen as I'm not going on holiday this year. I'd like to try and do something like this again next year which the same group if that's possible as I think we had a good time. I'd like to try and see if I can get more opportunites to use my camera. I've not used it much in a long long time but I really want to continues to use it and take it to more places. I'm gonna try and get a smaller more compact bag for it so that it's easier to carry around. What i'm going to do is find out places where I can go and photograph and take some photos and do that every few weeks or so if possible. I know that it's not always possible due to there only being so many hours in a day/week but it's about setting myself some little targets about what I would like to do outside of going to work and then just coming home.

Anyways, that was a BIG entry so I'd like to try and see if I can at least update this once a week if possible. It just helps if i have somewhere else to post my thoughts and such.

mud, rain, tinthepark, friends
