Wipe Your Sleeves
It was good to see photobetty yesterday. Trip to the ferry docks and back. We ate and walked around, played some arcade games then found a kick ass toy store! We haven't seen each-other in almost a year!
I move on the 31st. A balcony 2 bedroom with a huge kitchen. Ghetto plaster white washed walls and crappy grey carpet. No lease so I can get the hell out of there when I need too! Tracey will be flying in on thursday and then begins a new chapter on Pauls life. If a wrote a biography at this point my life would be insidiously tedious.
I was ready to dismiss Metric as another trend core band before I listened to more than two songs. So far I am very impressed. I guess that low-fi electronic analog marriage with rock riffs and heave bass and beats really appeals too me. Its almost like an extension to my low-fi "electro-rock" collection.
With the moving, I don't know when I will have internet running again so I will be absent mostly although I'm sure it wont be too hard to check emails and livejournal. I want to change my Avatars but I really like the ones I have. Are they becoming stagnant? Does anyone care?
Home sick? Of course I miss big city life. Where I am is healthy. But sometimes I'd like a little mental pollution. I should try to make it over to Vancouver a little more. And maybe in a year or so move back to Toronto, provided I've sorted my shit out and will be going to school........ Or taking a high paying yuppie job. Then again it is sunny and warm out today so I'm not in a hurry. The ol "grass is greener" scenario.
For some reason the "Vegan/Artisan" corner of Canada (VIctoria apparently), is infested with trash. On the bus I listen to conversations about getting trashed and punching mothers and sisters and x box. A boy with a tattoo of a pit-bull on his neck that looks like scoobydoo on crack talks to his friend in front of their girlfriends about kicking some guys ass and knifing him. The one guy leans to his girlfriend and utters: "Now you get too see what I'm really like. I'm cold blooded yo.". I want to drop the bomb.
