christmas has arrived
crazy. i swear it comes earlier each year. christmas has arrived on tv and in macy's. gotta grab it while you can. in my case, it's grab it early so you can begin to pay it off.
i'm actually glad i'm at macy's already because i don't think i'd be ready in time. i have to keep reminding myself that i have to have it all bought by the time i have to leave for ohio and being at macy's periodically helps.
so, second full day at the store today and i did a few new things. LOTS of walking taking down signs and doing fill-ins in accessories and men's. saw lots of purses and underwear. i'm happy with not having to interact much with people - i was left on my own most of the day and it was pretty nice. still, i'm anxious and happy to do new stuff. something that will keep me busy and help the time go by quickly. i am spending precious time away from the family and that is difficult, but i have to look at the big picture and keep up for the greater good.
last two hours were rough because a migraine came on and even though i was able to get to my purse and some pills it had time to kick in full force. i got really hot and a bit disoriented. i've already located the coolest place in the store and luckily it was a place i could do some low key filling in before i went up to find the lady who was in charge of me. spent the last half hour of the day standing in a small room putting little plastic hangers on some ladies undies that were going on clearance. i was actually happy for the job because it kept my mind off the pain.
home soon afterward to a diet coke, a cold pack for my head the couch. heaven!
note to self: do NOT buy the lime/coconut lotion you had a sample of from the hotel in hawaii. you love the scent but it will give you a migraine every time!!!
