Miss Catherine Eliah Strongwill wasn't, apparently, late even though it was what Kanita could think. Hazumu was standing right there, in about five steps from the other girl. She didn't see a familiar face, too. After all, why would she?.. And she already was really nervous, thinking of something to do about the fact that the person she agreed to meet was her friend - and for a long time already - and she didn't know that friend at all. Or rather, that memory was erased.
She let out a sigh and 'fixed' her skirt again. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to wear something like that. But the weather was nice and all?.. She checked if the ribbon in her hair was tied properly and sighed again.
She finally got fed up with waiting and, ignorant of whatever the consequences might be (usually it was just funny looks, she could deal), she cupped her hands around her mouth and shouted out, "HAZUMUUUU!!" That would get her attention!
...The girl that responded didn't look anything like Hazumu though. Well, maybe. With longer hair and a dye job, and--dressed really differently... She didn't look any older than the last time Kanita had seen her. Maybe younger, even, oddly enough.
"Uh. Hazumu?" she asked, turning to her, looking puzzled.
"Hi. Nothing, really..." She glanced back through the town's gate. "Can we get out of the city first? I'm a bit... uneasy with that much people around."
"Uhh, sure, I guess." She started walking away from the city, toward the open fields surrounding the walls. "So like, what happened to your hair?" It had definitely not been that long or that purple the last time she'd seen Hazumu.
Hazumu followed the older girl; obviously, nothing happened to her hair but Kanita's question stated otherwise. "Well, I guess, nothing, really... Or at least I don't remember something happening to it. Wasn't it always like this? I think it's pretty..."
"Uhh, no...?" Why was she being weird? "Your hair used to be really short. And uh, brown." She squinted at Hazumu's outfit, scrutinizing her. "Are you stuffing her bra?" Yeah, she was definitely poking Hazumu's chest; she didn't remember them being that big last time she'd seen her.
"Eek!" Hazumu jumped again, utterly shocked, and stared at Kanita. "Why would I? And why are you poking me there... what if someone saw it?.." She turned deep red.
"I'm alright, it's just that I'm not used to being poked, I mean, well, I..." Her cheeks were burning red and she seemed to be on the verge of bursting into tears.
That would be too much even for Hazumu-from-the-past. Her hand moved almost automatically as she slapped Kanita with a loud sound accompanying the slap.
Then she realized what she just did.
"I'm... I'm sorry..." She felt like disappearing right now.
