Real Entry
Jason mistakenly posted my last entry before I was finished writing it up. Bad Bunnybear!
So the job front.
Although I was offered the position at the bank and I accepted it, I got an unexpected job offer from the place that I temped at three times. They decided to ask me to come back to their worksite and do their admin work. Awesome! They're a great company to work for and have always treated me with a lot of friendliness and respect. It helps that I managed to get a bunch of the filing done with great alacrity.
One of the best parts of it is the commute. It's maybe 15-20 minutes away and I don't have to take the Freeway or 99! Plus, it's only a few minutes away from where Jason works so we still get to commute together. I don't have to pay for parking either. I just have to show my I.D. every day, though because it's property of the Port of Seattle.
Because they picked up the option to buy my contract I got a pay increase of $2! This makes me especially happy. I was already really happy with what I was making before the pay increase. It was just icing on the cake.
I'm so relieved! I have a job I enjoy. I get to look out at the water throughout the day, and work without being micromanaged. I love it.
