Day 60 was...wow, day 60 already?
It's the 29th of Feb. I don't see it very often. I normally let it pass by without a thought. Well, no longer! Apparently, on the 29th of Feb back in...the 80's sometime. Possible 1980...my mother proposed to my father, and he said 'Yes, a thousand times YES!'. How sweet!
Today was a very big day for me. It started early, with a trip into the city to meet my mentor, Tony at the powerhouse. We were there for around 4 hours. So much was crammed into the 4 hours. At the end of all the theory, photo analyising, and practical photography work, he said 'Ok, now I have told you everything you need to know to be a fantastic cinematographer. It will take you the rest of your life to learn it.' Haha...ha. Good to know!
I have already started improving on what he was taught me, which is excellent! It's great to finally understand technical terms, and also know how to fix a problem! I am very lucky to have such a great teacher. He also eased my mind about my project. I was going to apply to do it starting in March, but he told me to hold off. Wise thing to do. I couldn't handle doing it now.
After that, I went home to quickly pack some things, and headed to pick up Tim. Off to Mel's house we went for some movie night fun with the big gang. I was there for about an hour before I had to go to the radio station. Interviewed Tim once again, as I was let down ONCE MORE by the girl I had lined up. *sigh* She's lost her chance! The show went really well, and it was announced that my show has been extended! We now have 3 hours every Friday night instead of 1! WOOO! Goodbye Friday social life! Everyone at the station was SO happy we got the spot. Adam and I have some exciting program planning to do!
Went back to Mel's place where the Movie Night was in full swing. It was pleasant, relaxing, fun and well needed. I also got to see ONCE, which is a great film. And the Waitress! AND they played the clip I worked on for the Resin Dogs...actually, I am going to try and find it on youtube right now...
I went home around 3am. Was VERY tired.
Today's Video: YAY! It's online! The clip to Resin Dogs' "Caught Up" which I worked very hard on as a production assistant. It's great to see it all put together. Looks quite cool!
