why hello there!
it seems like forever ago that i last updated this little thing, but i suppose it hasnt been that long. where to start?!
Kiara has come so far since i last updated! shes pretty steady in holding her head up now, and adores all of the attention shes getting. shes amazed by everything, and stalks tiger with her eyes. its quite amusing to see what i would describe as a look of pure astonishment whenever she sees this tiny ball of fluff running round the living room, having a mad five minutes! shes got a pretty swift kick too, and lance keeps telling her that shes going to be just like lara croft one day. seriously, why cant he just be a normal guy? strange man.
me and lance are great! two weeks ago he took me out to an amazing little indian restaurant and we had a very romantic night with the works - candlelight, champagne, flowers.. the usual. he came in from work and made out like we were going to the cinema. i panicked and told him i couldnt because of kiara but hed sorted that all out with elaine and she babysat. so theres me, dressed for the cinema (so nothing great, plus babyweight.. oh yeah, i felt reallll sexy *cough cough*) and we walked onto the main road in town. i told him we were going the wrong way, but he insisted we werent. only when i was getting a bit angry did i realise that we were walking into the door of my favourite eating-place-for-yums, and i got happy. well, happy until i realised how much of a tramp i looked compared to everyone else in there. but anyway, we had an amazing evening followed by an amazing night after having Ki dropped back and getting her back to sleep(wink wink!), but that wasn't all!
we're now properly engaged! before it was pretty much official and we'd decided we were going to get married and so on, but after we'd done some naughty things, he was kissing me and put something on my finger.. it was amazing! we'd had average rings before now just to 'seal the deal' kind of thing, but this.. it must have cost him a fortune. the next day, he tells me that hes booked a venue for august 11th next year, but wont tell me where! hes arranging most of it (or already has, the sneaky git!) but im allowed to do the flowers reception related goodness. im so excited!
a few weeks back we had a fairly rough patch whereby i stayed at a friends for 3 days with Kiara, which really wasnt fun because i hate upsetting the tiny routine i have with her, but it had to be done and evidently has done us a world of good. hes been working very hard for us recently, as have i, and im really glad.
lance's mom is officially insane. she bought a car, and cant drive. she insists its her 'project' but what the hell shes going to do with it, i dont know. its a very ugly smart car, and i think she needs to be poked in the eye for it. but shes doing okay really seeing as shes been buying Ki a lot of pretty stuff and stuff to help us out, and has even suggested a few caterers for the wedding which offer really good value. im impressed. however, lance told her it wouldnt be very helpful and nudged her, and she agreed, so im wondering whats going on there - he must have found us someone pretty darn good.
anyway, Kiaras making a fuss about something so id better sort that out. shes getting so big every day!
