SO. 2009! You came and went! A lot of things happened this year, obvs. I finished my senior project and graduated college with honors (but not before almost dying the night before.)

I moved to ~Williamsburg~ to "job hunt" and lived with chungguksaram! I moved into an actual apartment not made for one and a half people with three people living in it with my darlings Rachel Browne and Jax! I got a job at the Met (temporarily!) I went to and "performed" at a lot of fucking amazing shows all year round, and I almost got to go to Australia and Tokyo for free (though both of those things fell through.) I drank. A LOT. I took a lot of photos! I got a twitter and became a fucking internet menace again. I gained and lost probably 30 pounds. I got my first tattoo! STUFFFFFF.

HERE ARE PHOTOS OF MY 2009 IN ORDER BY MONTH BUT NOT DATE.

Most Bonerkilling Album that was defeated by an amazing followup single: Shiina Ringo's Sanmon Gossip, followed by Tokyo Jihen's fucking awesome two-track Noudouteki Sanpunkan. The preceding single was also amazing and it wasn't on the album!
Amazing Single With Terrible Album: Shakira - She-Wolf

Better As A Cover: Animal Collective's My Girls covered by :kinema:. Their lyrics are actually goodish! Who knew?
Best album that got Fiona Appled, only for the better: Annie - Don't Stop (Duh.)
Most irritating twat who ruined my enjoyment of him or his album forever: FRANKMUSIK. SHUT UP. SHUT UUUP YOU DOUCHE.
Best album edited down and released as an EP: Your Nature - Your Nature

Yes, AATS is on there, but I'm honestly not counting it because what I listen to is a heavily, heavily edited version of it, and if the album as a whole can't hold it, I don't want to count it.

I think the discrepancies are really interesting, especially in the album section, because I have not listened to the Flaming Lips album much, but that's because it's fucking freaky and kind of blows my mind every time I hear it, so I just can't listen to it very often. A lot of these albums (Andrew Bird, Au Revoir Simone, Engineers, The Bird and The Bee) are very nice, but they are kind of backgroundy and I barely remember half of them. actually, that sort of goes for St. Vincent too, but when I do listen to it I love it.

But my top 5 on last.fm and in my brain are the same! Just in a different order. It's hilarious that it is a completely different mess after that, but the same thing happened when I did that ~Top Followers~ thing. Half of the people on there I barely talk to and am not that close with.
