He wants to know why she named their son Noah.
The answer’s easy. It’s so she’ll always remember, he took Glasses’ word over hers.
She loved him, gave herself to him so willingly; a fatal sin it seems.
She’ll never forget how easily he cut into her, how he set her ablaze with her own precious gift. The gift she gave him with such devotion.
She might have given him a son too, but when he says his little boy’s name he can’t forget.
Her son’s name is his father’s penance and he gets no absolution.
And neither does she.
