xmas/new years update
I'm spending Christmas and New Years in Houston. It's not bad. No snow and relatively warm. Although it's been raining the last couple days. I got here the evening of the 24th after traveling all day. (i had a layover in Newark that was delayed for 2 hours. We spent and hour circling over Newark). This is the first time i've been to the Houston house...it's not to bad...have to sleep on a cot in Helen's room though
We went to Galveston on Friday. it was warm and sunny. some people were swimming. There is still a lot of damage from Hurricane Ike and we saw a decomposed dead cow that was pretty much the highlight of the trip.
I got a flask among other things for xmas which i thought was the coolest and funniest thing ever.
I'm glad to have a vacation because work is crazy and it will be crazy when i get back but i'm missing Josh.
I've talked to him a few times a day since i've gotten here but after seeing him every day to not at all it's like i'm going through withdrawal lol.
I still dont know what to get him for Christmas though...hmm...something Texas themed maybe...
We've had a sports themed Christmas with the Celtics game on Christmas day and the Pats and Jets games today. Can't expect anything less from my family lol.
I'm working on a paper for my archaeology class on ethnoarchaeology and ceramic production. I hope to get most of it done while i'm here (i still have some research to do when i get back) and i have to finish my readings as well. I'm positive i wont be doing it when i get back. at least not right away.
Watching the Jets game and Farve just throwing it right to a guy from the other team. What is he doing still playing! Retire already! Still hopin for a Jets win though.
I should really be getting back to writting my paper....which sucks cuz i've totally lost my momentum...
