*yawn*
Today is Friday the 13th...I say this not because I'm superstitious or anything but a random observation
Much has changed since I last posted.
I've been working in Orthopedic Research for almost a month and a half now... it's fun but a lot of work and a lot to learn
also there are people in the lab that are from everywhere...China, Japan, Netherlands, Iran...it's like one big, crazy family
I've also been living in the townhouse for the same amount of time... not so much fun as i sleep on a mattress in the living room and store my clothes in the front hall closet
I've unpacked almost nothing and haven't even bothered to look for stuff i want
But the parents bought a place in Jamaica Plain so hopefully everything works out with that and i can move in sometime next month
Until then i've become a regular on the commuter rail...which is only convenient when i actually make my train
I tend to miss the one i want a lot because of the traffic on Brookline Ave during the Red Sox games (just getting from Longwood to Yawkey can sometimes take like 20min on the bus when it really should be taking 5)
those are the days when i hate the red sox...when i miss my train because of all the traffic due to the games
the other day it took me 3hours to get home because i missed the first train and had to wait for the next one (which was an hour later) and that one was really late so i ended up just taking the T and waited for someone to come pick me up from there. By that time I had basically been trying to get home for 3 hours
I remember why the date of today was so interesting
my sister left for New Zealand yesterday (thurs) and when she landed in New Zealand it was Saturday their time
so she misses Friday the 13th
I have to call her soonish because she should be in Wanaka soon and no one else is awake to do it lol
I've only recently got over the fact that i have to get up early every morning to go to work...that i cant just sleep in because i dont feel like going like i did when i was in school
speaking of school, i might take some classes in the fall so i can take some basic undergrad courses on anthropology and archeology (which i want to do my masters in....eventually) but i still have to look into stuff
it will be interesting taking classes after i've been out of school for over a year
