funnnn stuff
so today was supposed to be awesome day numero uno. thursday will be awesome day numero dos. uno and dos referring to me not having to go to freshman comp class because my professor is out of town.
well awesome day numero uno had its good parts for sure. however, there were some parts that were not so awesome. let me just tell you about my day.
went to business class...got an A on my first exam! =) but holy goodness everyone i sat next to (we were doing an activity where we had to move around the room several times) decided to smell bad today. no joke. my nose actually hurt after leaving class. lol!!
my mom picked me up and we left school because i didn't have to go to freshman comp at 2:30. yay! we went home and relaxed for a while because later we were planning to go out for lunch and have our hair done all purrty because we had won tickets from the radio to go see the musical Annie.
after chillin' at home for a while, we went to cici's and then went to hair cuttery and got our hair done. i kinda told the lady doing my hair how i wanted it to look, but also kind told her to go ahead and be creative. lol...style-wise, it looks sooo good, but WHOA it's short. like...not boy hair short....lol but about chin-length-ish. if that makes any sense. haha it'll just take some getting used to. and besides, it's gonna be probably shorter when i go into navy boot camp...
ok so day was pretty good so far, right?
it was wonderful until we got into my mom's car to go home.
keep in mind that my mom had been driving in her car pretty much all day doing errands and such. there hadn't been any problems until we left the hair cut place. my mom goes to turn the car on, and all the electronic stuff flickers and starts making this weird noise. so instantly we're both like grrreeeaaaat, the battery's dead. we call AAA and thank goodness there was a truck only 5 minutes away. the AAA person came and jumped the battery and the whole bit. problem solved right?
nope.
we left the wal-mart shopping center which is like 5 minutes from our house. it was really hot in the car. my mom wanted to turn the A/C on but i said that probably wasn't a good idea and that turning it on might cause another problem with the battery. we get to a red light at the intersection of john young and whisper lakes blvd....about to turn onto our street, and my mom goes "i can't take this it's too hot"....and turns the friggin' A/C on. no lie, as soon as she pushed that button, the car dies again....in rush-hour traffic, in the middle of john young parkway.
how lovely. lol.
THANK GOODNESS that the guy in the car right behind us was a CAR MECHANIC!! he saved our lives....after a few minutes of jumping the battery and trying to get the car started, we finally were able to make it home OK. i was freaking out hoping some crazy person wouldn't run us over or something. we were blocking most of the left-most turn lane because there really isn't much of a place to pull over.
on a lighter note, my mom did win free tickets to go to the opening night of Annie at bob carr. it was sooo good. everyone should go see it!
and omg ahhhhh wicked is coming to bob carr next april I MUST GET TICKETS AND GO ON MY 19TH BIRTHDAY YAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!! =)
