See, that's why the Irish are awesome. They say what they want to say and anyone who opposes them sayin' it be damned. And they get drunk and fight(I'm totally aware of what the headline was supposed to mean, but still, the Irish are definitely the kind of awesome people who would just come out and say that kinda thing.
