Shrinking Depression
I used to see the word "depression" larger than any other in my tags. I knew it was because it was what I talked about more than anything else on my blog, but it was also what I was feeling and experiencing more than anything else in my life, so it was fittingly appropriate! I resolved to make that word shrink so that it wasn't the largest on my page anymore and, now, it has been done.
The depression is still there but it's not all-consuming anymore. It lurks around on the edge of my life like a stalker, all the time, waiting for an opportunity to intrude upon my life again. Fortunately, my physical pain has diminished and health has improved and likewise, the dark veil of depression has lifted. The warmer weather and changing jobs were instrumental in the improvement!
I don't know that "cell phone pics" is a great label for defining myself either, but it's better than "depression" and I'll take it!
