the odd ways one discovers college is over

Jun 01, 2009 01:11

I did laundry today, and I must have dropped a sock out of my laundry basket.  one of my parents likely found it and, identifying it as mine, draped it over my doorknob so that I would find it.  clearly, they do not understand the significance of this action in a college student's mind.

so, here I am, just out of my last semester of college and home in my nice, safe, suburban household with my own private room.  I walk upstairs at 1:00 am and, seeing a sock on the door, suddenly have no idea what to do.  my brain is saying, "you're not in college anymore," but my instinct is saying, "sexiled!"

so that's my weird-ass moment of the day.

I'm off to NYC tomorrow, so wish me luck and a lack of ulcers!

funny things, goucher
