John Pilger's new film, "
The War on Democracy" is quite brilliant, and the whole film's on YouTube.
..and if it sparks your interest in Chavez, there's a fascinating Irish documentary that's also on YouTube, called "
The revolution will not be Televised", which looks at the 2002 coup in much greater detail. This one's ten times more gripping than the majority of political documentaries i've seen. The camera crew of this docco were trapped inside the palace during the coup and give you a minute by minute retelling of the standoff they witnessed, intercut with the private media's undeniably warped reporting of the situation. I never knew the media could be this powerful a force.
