You can ask me 3 questions.
Any three,
no matter how personal,
private, or random.
I have to answer them honestly. I'm no liar.
In turn you have to post this
message in your own bulletin
and you have to answer the
questions that are asked to you
Be nice. Actually, be brutal. Give it to me hardcore.

1. Democrat. Progressive as car insurance.
2. more of a man than a teenage boy (and MUCH more mature than some of the guys at our school-- people that will read this are not included)
3. I try not to judge, gossip or talk about people behind their backs, but I catch myself doing so sometimes. 99% of the time, when I hear a rumor, I go to the source.
4. Smoker, drinker, occasional partier.
5. Computer nerd, but there is sooo much I don't know.
6. Not known to be humble.
7. Sometimes acts without thinking ---> impulsive
8. most of the girls I've dated have been "messed up" ie. suicidal at times, depressed, etc (I think that says something about me... I don't "go after them" it just happens that way)
9. To go along with #6, I feel that I know more about local hip hop than some of the "ghetto" kids at our school.. case in point, I bet there are maybe 3 kids in the school that have heard of Aesop Rock, Mr. lif, Hieroglyphics, and Brother Ali... and to be honest, those people aren't that underground...
10. I feel my life has a definite pattern of ups and downs... to the point where I can predict when something shitty/great is going to happen. Recently, it's been lower lows than higher highs, but hey, its called real life.
11. I usually don't let things bother me to the point of getting really pissed/depressed... I take it, learn from it and move on.
12. I don't fear much real things, except maybe confrontation... I really do not want to get into a fight unless it is necessary. I'll take a lot of shit before I swing a fist.
13. I generally have respect for law enforcement in general, except cops, I feel that most of them abuse their power and are not truely looking to change things, just write tickets so they get their quota.
14. I am smart (#6 coming in again), but it takes a lot for me to be engaged. I think I generally suffer from a lack of determination and perserverance, which I believe can take you farther than innate intelligence.
15. I know that I have a reputation or whatever at school for being a "weirdo", a "nerd", etc. but I know that I have changed greatly since 8th grade. or 9th, or even 10th.
16. I honestly have dreams of ruling the world. Seriously.
17. I have a dynamic personality... I change and relate differently to different people. Some might call this being a "poser", but theres a difference.
18. I am tired of St. Anthony, and cannot wait to get out. I want to experience life, and for all intents and purposes, it is not in St. Anthony.
19. I joke about it, but i'm not racist. if I discriminate against any group, its fundamentalist Christians. I am a firm beleiver in seperation of church and state, and am an agnostic. (There may be a God, but He may also not exist)
20. I love being around people, especially new people. I am a die-hard extrovert, and actually love being in large groups of people. The halloween party I was at was honestly one of the best times of my life. And I knew 3 people there out of 200.

Only one of those artists/groups you listed could be considered "local".
Do you see musical interests to be a competition to be more into your music than everyone else is? Just because sombody loves "BET/MTV rap" music, its not their duty to know everything about their local underground scene... its not the same kind of music, and not everyone listens to music for the same reasons... some people like to party all the time, and they want simple catchy music that reminds them of how much they love to party. I don't feel better than everyone else because I listen to primarily underground/classic hip-hop, its just the sound I've grown to like.

Your missing the point, kiddo.

I got your point, you think everyone should be listening to "unpopular" music, even if the mainstream sound is much more appealing to them. And that somehow everyone is supposed to be familiar with, and be fans of these local underground acts that don't make music for their crowd in the first place.

Makes sence to me, STA ghetto kids listen to rap, not hip hop. Big difference, even I knew that one. If those kids listened to underground hip hop, then it wouldn't be underground. And besides, don't lift yourself up onto a pedistal because you think that you are musically superior. It's all taste and what they think is cool. That's what musical taste is most strongly effected by, predetermined notions. The ghetto kids think that what they see on BET is cool, and so they like it, just as you think whatever is underground is cool and like it. So are you any better then them? I will be the first to agree with you that mainstream rap about gettin Krunked and pimpin hos is retarded, but that's my humble opinion, which doesn't mean shit. As does yours, but, referring back to #6, that is a concept you have yet to master.

you're talking about this as if I said it was "better" to like underground music. That's not the case...
I'm just saying that I know more about the local scene. Am I saying thats better than listening to music on BET? Not necessarily.
you kids assume much are are eager to jump on my ass.
grow up.

You're missing the point here. You did infer that your knowlege of hip hop is greater than the kids who claim to be "ghetto". Well the ghetto kids listen to rap, not hip hop. There is no obligation to know about underground, local, or classic artists if that isn't the type of music that you are into.
