So, I wandered from your Tumblr to your LJ...marasquineNovember 15 2014, 19:44:31 UTC
... and I'm not sure what internet etiquette says in such cases... But if you're comfortable with filling a meme for a perfect stranger, Homestuck? It's one of my most recent -and few- fandoms as well. Not much of a shipper myself, but I'm always curious to learn about what other people ship. :)

I don't mind visitors to my journal at all! They're always welcome. :) I'm not quite as big a Homestuck fan as I used to be, but I still like some of the characters and I want to follow it to its conclusion. Let's see

Thanks! Your comments on das_sporking tend to be insightful, so I wanted to read more of yours... And I find your LJ interesting to look at, even if - or because - most of the things you write about I'm quite unfamiliar with. I'll be back, most probably. :3
* They burned me so badly I never want to think about them again: It's more like Hussie's burned me out, but eh. : P Hahaha, yeah, to be honest I see what you mean. I seem to be stuck forever in the "starry-eyed enthusiast" phase myself (it's kind of worrying, actually. I mean, what am I supposed to do when I'm forty?), but people getting worn out out is understandable. Reading HS these days requires an (un)healthy dose of literary masochism... Not to mention that Hussie is making little mystery about trolling his audience, at that point. :D
So, what are your current "new" fandoms? ^^
* They're toxic as hell and I wish more people would realize it instead of thinking they're so perfect: Eridan/Feferi, Vriska/TavrosCan't say anything about Eridan/Feferi, as I didn't even know

Aw, thanks! I hope you don't mind me friending you. :)

It doesn't help that Hussie's been a jerkass at times, and at this point, it's hard to tell if he's writing something with the intent of trolling the audience or if he's genuine. :/ Several of the recent deaths felt like "lol let's kill off so-and-so just to see the fandom cry," which annoyed me from a story-telling standpoint. The most recent of recent deaths felt genuinely sad though

Aw, thanks! I hope you don't mind me friending you. :) Not at all! Glad you did, actually- I'm super awkward with all social media business, and I rarely dare friending others. I update super rarely, too; but still, welcome! <3 */friends you back* (also sorry in advance for that comment, which is overlong and full of fangirlism, to boot. I'll try not writing those again. Oo)

Quite well, in fact. XD But you know what? I think that, to me, it might be part of the appeal. Jerkass artists is something I don't mind that much, as a general rule (couldn't have stayed a fan of so many rock'n'roll pioneers if that weren't the case^^). And, against my better judment, I find myself admiring *really* trollish behaviour; kind of like I'd admire the characters, in Greek theater, that have been possessed by hubris, if you see what I mean: that's

I like Equius and Aradia, they're just not on my radar as much as say, Karkat, Dave or Nepeta. :3 Aradia and Equius are in, like, half of my almost-ships, be it separately or together. I honestly don't know how this happened. :D That's why I was very amused. While not my favorite, I end up liking Equius more than a lot of things about him would've led me to believe (the same can be said of a lot of the cast, mind you, but heh :D). Might have something to do with his having limits and rules, and imposing so many of those on himself. Seeing this set of values being challenged (both inwardly and outwardly) will never cease being interesting. Which might be why he's kind of my go-to troll these days. ... And fandom, meanwhile, has made sure that Dirk/Equius is confortably located in my "hot fuckbuddy" slot. XD If I even have one of those, anyways. ^^
(Yup! It's been so long since I read/watched the series though, but I remember liking them. That, and the show hits a lot of my guilty pleasure buttons, haha. XD)Bishounen, tenderness,
