End of Year Memes + New Cockatiel
After many years since our parrot Catherwood passed away, Mom got a new cockatiel for Christmas! We're not sure what its gender is, but we named it Sydney after the Australian city. Its chirps sound like a squeaky toy, which is adorable. Mom and Dad have been talking affectionately about Syd too, which makes me happy.

Favorite Yuri Couple of 2012: Trixie/Twilight! Then Applejack/Rarity, Roxy/Calliope, Madoka/Homura... this was a super femmeslashy year.
Favorite Yaoi Couple of 2012: Aside from the obvious (Andy/Marius), we've got Dirk/Caliborn and Dorian/Basil. Poor, poor Basil. ;;

2. Your favorite film this year: Wreck-It Ralph and Rise of the Guardians pop into mind. But Battle Royale beats them both. Goddamn.
3. Your favorite book read this year: The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, hands down~
4. Your favorite album or song this year: "Let Me Be Your Wings" from Thumbelina. Not a good film really, but I love that song to bits and pieces. Wreck-It Ralph's songs were awesome, and now I've got "Wreck It Wreck-It Ralph" and "Pac-Man Fever" (Buckner & Garcia's earlier hit~) stuck in my head.
5. Your favorite TV show this year: *singing* My Little Pony, My Little Pony, ahhhhhh...
6. Your favorite LJ/DW community this year: das_sporking and Kink Bingo. Nomnomnom.
7. Your best new fandom discovery of the year: Fuck yeah, Harvest Moon!
8. Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year: Writing for "Twisted Princess" was harder than I thought it would be, but I wouldn't necessarily call it a disappointment, nom. :P The true disappointment comes from me not writing enough due to returning depression. :(
9. Your fandom boyfriend of the year: Jimmy, of course~ Fiction-wise, Gale from Harvest Moon, Garry from Ib and Jack Frost from Rise of the Guardians. :D
10. Your fandom girlfriend of the year: My friend Rachel. ;; I want to hang out with the Mane Six forever. I'm also close friends with Candace in Harvest Moon~
