Dave Strider x Tavros Nitram from Homestuck.
Dave and Tavros rarely talk to each other, but when they do, it's comedy gold. And laden with innuendo. The comic above is based off their first pesterlog chat (and the first time Tavros appears) and it's hysterical. Eventually, Tavros DOES catch Dave at a time where he's "emotionally susceptible." I can't say much without spoilers, but let's say Tavros and Dave (one of them... HS's plot is very complicated and confusing) share a dream bubble... which is a way of saying they've become roomies. :)

Man, that .gif above is so convincing. Those two either make me laugh, wibble or make my teeth rot. I guess Karkat developing a hatecrush on John is a classic, but in the end, I'll have to go with [S] John: Reunite with your loving wife and daughter. John re-enacting the ending to Con*Air (complete with Crowning Music of Awesome) while Karkat watches in embarrassment? Yes plz.

Maurice Hall x Alec Scudder from Maurice
I don't think this really counts as a fandom and I'm too intimidated to see if fanart exists, so you get Fluttershy reactions made by yours truly. Maurice is a novel written by E.M. Forster (written during 1913 and 1914, and published posthumously in 1971) made into a movie in 1987. Maurice (the blond guy) is our main protagonist, who has to come to terms with and accept his homosexuality in Edwardian England. In the latter third of the story, he meets Alec Scudder, his ex-lover's under-gamekeeper. They develop a close relationship, but we've got two problems: A. Scudder is lower-class, and according to Edwardian England, this is bad. B. Scudder is getting on a ship for another country and Leaving Forever.
And we've got two scenes that make me wibble for different reasons:
Chapter 44 (aka the Hotel scene) requires a Fluttercry by itself (not sure if NSFW, but just in case) 'cause it tears me apart. ("Why don't you stay on in England?" "Stay? Miss my boat, are you daft? Of all the bloody rubbish I ever heard. Ordering me about again, eh, you would." "It's a chance in a thousand we've met, we'll never have the chance again and you know it. Stay with me. We love each other." "I dessay, but that's no excuse to act silly. Stay with you and how and where? What'd your Ma say if she saw me all rough and ugly the way I am?") Just... baaaaw.
Wanna know the reason why Maurice remained unpublished for so long? Because Alec never got on the boat, so he and Maurice lived happily ever after. Maurice finds Alec at his boat home on the lake, they kiss and embrace and Alec utters this immortal line: "And now we shan't be parted no more, and that's finished." ALL MY HAPPINESS. And Fluttershy's tears turn to joy.

Jeff Andonuts x Tony from Earthbound/Mother 2
Thanks Jean. You've brought up Earthbound and now I bring up Jeff/Tony. And the scene where Tony helps Jeff over the gate. "Well... I'll say goodbye for now. I don't know where you're going or why, but remember, we are best friends forever." Awww. Still adorable as always. ;;
The latest MLP episode makes me thirsty. I'll have to make due with a cold glass of apple juice.
