A big, BIG thank you to Lark and Nam for replying to the previous post. ;; I'll give myself today and tomorrow to write various drafts for the prompt on my test~ ♥ That way, I'll be relaxed and having fun and won't be panicking by the time the end of the month draws near. XDD;;;

Dad might want to take me somewhere to make up for something scary/bad that's happened yesterday. I've also been bored out of my mind trying to hatch the perfect Larvesta. :/ Maybe I need to catch more Dittos at Giant Chasm? Like a Modest Ditto?

It's times like this I start wandering what Pokemon my novel characters would have. And what about Raggedy Ann & Andy? They say a Pokemon team can tell you a lot about your personality...

Raggedy Ann: Blissey, Alomomola, Togekiss, Clefable, Plusle, Latias
Raggedy Andy: Audino, Sunflora, Arcanine, Vanilluxe, Minun, Latios

Huh. Ann's team has no major weaknesses. :o Most vulnerable to electric, ice and fighting. Makes sense. She's 1/3 immune to ground and half immune to ghosts! Niiiice. Andy passed the weakness test too. He's got one Pokemon immune against fire, ground and ghost. Vulnerable to fire, ice, fighting, ground, bug and rock. So if the opposing team's pumped with a lot of various TMs, Andy's screwed compared to Ann. XD Still, I'm surprised! I wasn't even trying to give them balanced teams. :o

Blissey, Alomomola, Togekiss, and Audino are self-explanatory. Raggedy Ann is known for bringing happiness to those around her, as is Blissey and Togekiss. Raggedy Ann is caring and compassionate, so she'd be a healer, not a fighter. Audino has the ability to read a person's heart, and while not as strong as Blissey, it's tank enough to withstand both Attack and Special Attack and can land a hit if it has to (aka Return), hence he's given to Andy. Plus Audinos work better in Double and Triples than in Single; Raggedy Ann is the more independent of the two while Andy is often seen working together with her and/or a friend.

Alomomola embraces wounded Pokemon and brings them to shore to heal them, and Sunflora is known for its energetic and "sunny" disposition, and is constantly moving around for more sunlight. The two represent the "Candy Hearts and Paper Flowers" theme: Alomomola is Raggedy Ann's candy heart, while Sunflora is Raggedy Andy's paper daisy. Plusle & Minun are never seen without each other. Ann gets Plusle 'cause I associate Andy with blue (Minun) AND there's the fact she's powered by "positive" energy. ;D Latias & Latios carry the Soul Dew and are the ultimate brother-and-sister combo. ;; Mess with one, mess with both. Considering Ann in my novel AND 5th Movie!Latios... ohhh dear.

Raggedy Ann is the more intellectual of the two, so she'd be fine handling a team of healers with Togekiss, Plusle and Latias to back her up. Raggedy Andy, on the other hand, is better known for his bravery and loyalty, so his Pokemon reflect that. And who better than Arcanine? Aside from being a nod to various references ("snips and snails and puppy dog tails," Marcella's dog Fido, Raggedy Arthur in the Chuck Jones holiday specials, and the even more obscure/less memorable "Rags" from one of the late late non-Gruelle books) it also mentions Andy's closeness with Caesar, Mary's dog. Before they became friends, Caesar mistaken Andy for a chewtoy, which he got scolded for by Mary. While he was being sewn up, Andy was given two keepsakes: A. Raggedy Ann, worried for his life, made him the paper daisy so he wouldn't be lonely. He kept it with him at all times as a lucky charm and something to help him feel better when he was scared and alone. B. A giant stitch (a "scar") on the side of his torso, which remained after his paper daisy is forcefully taken from him by Medlock and destroyed. He's quite grateful for the scar as he is for the flower. :o

Togekiss never shows up where there's strife, so it'd make sense it'd be in good company with Ann & Andy. I can see Ann finding an egg and Shiny Stone in a place like the Deep Deep Woods and raising Togepi as her own in the nursery. No doubt she'd share him with Andy and everyone else in the nursery, then she'd gently shush everyone and remind them to be quiet when she tucks Togepi in for a nap. :o Then Togepi evolves and everyone figures out what the Shiny Stone is for. Now Ann & Andy can fit on a fluffy speckled airplane for some mwoing-tastic adventures!

In Raggedy Ann & Andy's time, people made up stories and fairytales and myths and told them to their children at bedtime. Magic, fairies, dragons, elves and the like were everywhere. They'd be fascinated by someone like Clefable. :o Did you know Clefairy was in line to be Pokemon's mascot instead of Pikachu? Imagine that, seeing the pink little guy on all our merchandise today. As a Pokemon with supposed ties to the moon, it also refers to a non-Raggedy Ann book Johnny Gruelle written called The Magical Land of Noom, where two kids and their grandparents take a flying machine to explore the back of the moon. :o

Vanilluxe refers to the Raggedys' love of sweets in the books. This includes Raggedy Ann & Andy in Cookie Land where the first chapters consist of them falling into a cave and discovering different flavored icicles like lemon and orange. :o Why Andy? He gets the Vanilluxe due to A. A Pokemon he can share (that thing has two heads. <.<) B. In a chapter of Raggedy Andy Stories, he teaches Raggedy Ann and the rest of the toys in the nursery how to cook homemade taffy. Alas for Ann & Andy, they don't get to eat anything in my book. I don't even know if they have a perception of taste at all. XDD;;;

I need more Raggedy Ann & Andy books. <.<;;;
